Outback Trading Company Unisex 2042 Low Rider Waterproof Breathable Full-Length Oilskin Duster Coat

Im 6'4 weigh around 270, what size would fit me?
One of the reviews mentioned a searchable hood. Does this coat come with the hood or a detachable liner (for winter wear)?
what is the length of this coat? Lg.
I’m 6’4 weighing 340 pounds, is the 4X will be a good fit? I want it at my knees or below is this coat this long and wide for Me??

Good raincoat. Very pleased. Keeping it.

I am 5'7', 160 pounds. I was reluctant to buy the coat because I struggled to decide if I should get a small or a medium. Also, some of the reviewers said the coat was oily and needed to hang outside for a while, and some said the snaps were dodgy.Discussed it with a family member and finally pulled the trigger. I bought a medium because I will probably wear something underneath it.Was nervous, because buying clothes without trying on is risky.Got the coat and was very pleased with my purchase. It is NOT oily, so that was good. The length is good for a 5'7' person (I contemplated the other coat that was 3" longer) so that is good. The snaps were intact and working properly, so that was good. And, most importantly, I like the fit. I will be able to layer in the rain, and use the coat in cooler weather. So I am very pleased with the purchase.

Oil Skin Duster-Very Useful and Good Buy

Excellent Duster/Jacket/Raincoat. It repels the rain. It can keep you warm, but not like a layered jacket with down in or anything. I am 6'0" and 170 lbs. 31 waist in jeans. I ordered a small because I know these jackets can run large. I ordered small and it is a good fit. A little bit of room for layers. No more than long sleeve thermal with a lumberjack shirt over it and then the Duster. If you want to wear a thermal, lumberjack shirt, sweater or sweat shirt, you will probably want to purchase a medium for my height and weight. Sweater and or a sweat shirt will be too bulky with a small Duster. I generally only wear a undershirt and lumberjack shirt when wearing the Duster. The Duster does have a coating of oil. It is not wet to the touch or anything. The oil does not make the Duster smell and the coating/oil does not rub off as some people have stated in other reviews. It feels like a coat that has protective coating on it. It does not make the Duster stiff or anything. The Duster material might seem rough to some people. It is the same as all work jackets with hoodies. The shoulders do come off. So if you want a Duster that looks less "cowboy", you can remove them. The Duster hits just below my knees in terms of length.

Great fit, durable, waterproof

I am 6’3, 230. I got the 3XL & the hood. A little heavy but I want something that will last for any condition. Very comfortable, perfect length. In the Florida downpours only my hands get wet if I reach out. Very little splashing on my face. Great price for something I feel will stand the test of time with proper care.

Fantastic coat, but a little big

The quality of the coat is absolutely stunning. Very good fibers, nice and thick, it has a great weight and feel to it. After trying it on, it felt very good and the feel of the material is definitely what you would expect from an "oilskin" jacket, such that even my fingers felt slightly tacky/greasy when handling the material for too long. This wasn't a problem when just putting on or taking off the jacket, but be very careful about extended contact between two materials, such the seat of your car.I am personally in-between sizes Small/Medium for most of my clothing, but generally I err on the side of Medium as a relaxed fit is more comfortable to me than a tight fit. Even according to the size guide, the Medium was the same size as my jeans, and any fitted shirts I've purchased which use inch-based sizing. However, the cut and style of this coat is very large and billowy anyway, so with the Medium I had at least 3 inches of excess fabric on each side of my hips, and the arm length was so long that it completely covered the palms/backs of my hands, and knuckles, even with my arms stretched out, making me feel like a little kid in his dad's clothes.I have to reiterate though, that I do love the coat, and will instead be buying the Small version of it as, according to their sizing chart, that trims about 4 inches off the waist, and an inch off the arm-length, which should be about perfect. I really did not want to do a return/exchange as this jacket was absolutely everything I expected in texture, weight, feel, and color. It even has extra straps on the bottom that you can snap around your pant legs, to keep the coat from flapping and billowing in a stiff breeze. I can't wait to receive my Small sized one, and try it out in a downpour. Absolutely will recommend it to others, it is worth every penny.

Great coat but watch the oil

First of all my guy loves this coat, Great quality for the price, its warm especially when buttoned but would add an extra layer underneath for really cold days. Snaps are high quality, It looks awesome he feels sexy wearing it. It could have had larger pockets but the coat makes up for it by having lots of them. Not gonna count that against it but we took a star off because its COVERED in oil. We knew it would be oiled due to the waterproofing process but this thing feels like it was submerged in a tub full of 10w30. He has been wearing it out for a few days hoping the excess oil would evaporate but no luck so far. Would give 5 stars if it came with less oil or came unoiled with a can of Duck Back so you can put on as much or as little as you please.

Great jacket

I bought this Duster for walking the dog on winter nights, primarily. I wanted rain proof, wind proof, and warm. I got all of that, and then some. It stops the wind, water beads up and rolls off, and it keeps me plenty warm. Bonus points for making me look badass, too! I based getting an XL off of a review that said the L fit a guy 5'10" 180lbs. I'm 6' 210lb. The XL leaves plenty of room for a warm hoodie underneath, but when it warms up outside, I think it might be a bit big with just a shirt on underneath. But I'm happy.

Love it!

Love it!! I'm 5'10" about 175 lbs and I bought a large. It fits perfect for me to wear a layer of long underwear with wool pants and a wool shirt. It also fits fine without the thick under layers but I bought this for use in the colder seasons when I need the under layers anyways. Quality of workmanship is outstanding. I haven't beaten it up too bad yet but I suspect this jacket is going to be with me a long time. I'm the kind of person who goes through outdoor clothing faster than a kid goes through candy. I'm always out crashing through the bush, running a power saw getting firewood and warming up next to a big fire. This thing is perfect for all of that. I'd buy this again in a heartbeat.

Great doing business, 10/10 would buy again

Quick ship; literally 16 hours. Had to rely on unisex size chart as described on the vendor’s website, I’m 170cm slim athletic build and XS was excellent and as close to my frame since I wear M calvin klein outerwear(38-40”), ordering based on the amazon size chart would have been way too big. Waxy on the fingers but very functional against freezing rain; material is quality and tough. Winter is really like 2 seasons long in Canada and I never wear a hat or hood, so this is perfect for me. I live in the city where fashion designer coats dominate so this really stands out for something that's functional. I get the occasional school shooter jokes but whatever this isn't the States. Guess it adds to the coat's badassery lolGot the Low Rider instead of the Stockman because it was the only one that came in XS, and plus it looks stiffer. I don't know if I'd want to be arsed to spend double on the Stockman for the extra 3" since it looks good anyway and also the prices for Canada is ridiculous. I might get one for my best friend too since he really likes it.
