Sturdy, unfoldable, lightweight
Sturdy and easy to assemble (I had the right tools. The bolt to tighten is recessed, so the average spanner may be inadequate). It is quite lightweight, and not foldable. It is easily adjustable (tilt and height). It does the job it's meant to do. I have no other music stands to compare it to. I can't understand the 'made in USA' hype. I'm amazed that no one makes it outside of the USA. It's just a sheet of metal with tubes holding it up and a welded 3-legged stand. Not rocket science, exactly.

Lovely stand
Great quality! Easy to adjust, lightweight, but sturdy. Doesn't stand in the way in a crowded space as other stands with higher tripod legs.

High Quality American Made Quality
Well packed in quality box. Made in America, this was a point that made me very pleased anything I've ever bought American made has been top quality. Life time warranty. Very easy to assemble very sturdy. I bought this to stand my iPad Pro on whilst learning YouTube guitar lessons, so needed something solid so I could rewind the lesson easily at my fingertips. Very large stand so can easily get my iPad Pro and a4 paper and even two iPads and a4 paper on. The only problem I had which was very easily fixed was where the tube extends it rattled when using iPad, this would have been too annoying to use like this, but a small amount of amalgamation tape stopped this. I was very lucky to buy this at just the right time at £40. Today it is just under £60. Knowing what I know about it now, I would have bought this for £60. I was drawn to this initially because over 1500 100% reviews spoke for itself. I’m not surprised it’s very good. I’m looking forward to getting back int my lessons

Strong and sturdy music stand
My girl needed a stand that could hold her heavy music book while practising her violin. It’s just what she needed, easy to adjust the height with one hand which is always handy for a violinist. It can be adjusted to be flat as well so she has used is to support her laptop to video while she is playing a piano. Very useful and versatile music stand.

Top Notch Music Stand - Handy for Everyone & a Work of Art
Once you get one of these stands (and remember NOT to pick it up by the neck or you'll get grease on your hands) you'll probably start to look down at most other music stands. Its useful for sheet music sure, but also if you do things like voice over, reading or podcasting and need notes close by. You can adjust the height smoothly, and easily with one had, its stable, can tilt - plus it looks quite cool. Even if you don't play music...maybe get one and stick a picture on it.

Sturdy stand great for percussion
Great stand, sturdy and able to stay in particular position easily. Folds down but not super portable so best for those who can leave in one place most of the time. Great for percussion or timpani where other stands just won’t cut it.

It's a sturdy music stand. I can even keep my iPad on it. One time investment.

Quality comes at a price and after having a few more flimsy and cheaper stands, this was a long overdue decision. Very pleased.

After my flimsy portable music stand got damaged in a move, I wanted a heavy-duty one. And boy, that's what I got. Suitable as both a music stand and a jousting weapon at Medieval Times, the Manhasset 48 will get the job done. It's a beast. You set your sheet music on it; your music stays put. You read your notation from a tablet? That'll stay there too--the 48 laughs at the heft of your tablet. Big ol' fake book? ¡No hay es problema, mi amigo! However you read music, the Manhasset will hold it for you, unless you're some sort of freak who carves notation into dishwasher-sized granite slabs. In that case you're out of luck. So, five stars for sturdiness. Considering its robustness, the 48 is a breeze to put together. If you've ever been driven to the brink of madness whilst trying to assemble a piece of furniture of Swedish origin, be assured that this won't be a similar experience. Even the most minimally-skilled do-it-yourselfer will have this bad boy put together and holding music in minutes. Five stars for ease of assembly. Observant readers will note that I only gave the 48 three stars as to portability. That's not a knock at the product. Rather, it's an acknowledgement that the 48 isn't meant to be the stand you take along to practice alfresco in a local park or some such. There's nothing preventing you from taking one along, mind you, but nothing on the 48 folds up, so you'll have to toss it into the trunk rather than tuck it into a quaint little shoulder bag like the cheap stand I used to have. That said, the all-metal construction of the 48 will come in mighty handy if, during your alfresco serenade, you're attacked by a pack of enraged weasels. While not common, weasel attacks are nothing to sneeze at, and if it happens you'll be glad you have your trusty 48 along. A couple of whacks upside the noodle with one of these babies and that irritated stoat will think twice before taking you on again. Overall, this is a fine product, one I'd recommend highly. Go ahead and get two. You can always use the second one as a gift at the office holiday party. No one else will have thought to bring one I'd reckon.
