I have had a number of Danish Design dog beds over the past 10 years but found that despite the outer covering wearing and washing well the inner stuffing became very clumpy and lumpy over time. I saw this waterproof bed in a local pet store (at a much higher price!) and thought it would be a handy bed for my year old sprocker. He lives out in a dog run with kennel during the day but comes into the house at night. During wet weather his ordinary fabric bed can end up quite damp as he potters in and out of the kennel.The cover arrived very promptly and was well packaged. It seems fairly robust but had quite a strong smell about it due to the waterproof coating on the back of the fabric. Thankfully this has subsided a bit with airing and use. A single duvet folded in four fits inside the cover perfectly and provides adequate padding for my dog. So far I have only used the bed in the house to see if the dog would take to lying on it. I'm pleased to say he loves it. Was a bit concerned the surface would be slippery and noisey or the bed would sweat up inside due to the body heat of the dog, but no problems so far. The waterproofness hasn't had much of a test yet other than when the dog has been out on wet grass in the garden and then lain on the bed, but it seems to have coped ok and the surface remains dry. I've also noticed that the bed warms up quickly once the dog is lying on it and my boy certainly appreciates that as he has quite a fine coat yet. The care instructions indicate the cover only needs wiped to clean it which is a bonus when compared with the fabric beds which needed washed regularly and are a pain to dry.Overall I'm very pleased with this cover and it is certainly good value for money compared to other waterproof beds of this size. It still remains to be seen how it will cope when I put it out in the kennel and the weather worsens over the winter, but so far, so good!

Great for messy dogs. Easy to wash/wipe but this one is not as seal proof like previous bought. It's totally different. Original was exactly like picture -This one is very dark-no badge on as in picture & also press studs-not zip like I originally purchased!

Really happy with thus, protects the dig bed duvet (also Danish Design) from the accidents my very elderly dog has been having. I put a towel over it to soak up any dribbles in the safe knowledge that the actual duvet will be completely dry. Wipes clean easily and dries quickly. Will also be useful after a walk in the rain!

Well made and lasted well

The dog vomited on it and it soaked right through, so definitely not water proof.

We have had many Danish Design dog beds/duvets for years all very successful and I probably didn't read the details of the County Duvet Cover carefully enough as I had not realised this one was nylon. Our old crossbreed rescue dog is happy on the cover but our young Vizsla refuses point blank to get on it. I think it is the texture of the nylon and the smell which someone else has mentioned in a review. I may have to try washing it by hand to get rid of the smell and try again in the meantime I have ordered another cover in a different design.

We have an older springer spaniel 10+ years that has begun to urinate throughout the day, this cover has lived up to its water proof name. Be aware you will still need to clean up after the dog as soon as possible however the bed inside the cover has remained dry. After 5+ products this one has finally fulfilled our needs.

Definitely does the job. We rescued a bulldog who likes to mark his bed of all places. So we were a little fed up of washing the bed all the time. So now we have put it inside this cover and any little markings just run off. It’s great. Tough material but we just throw a fleece over it so it’s snuggly.
