My grandson loved this book a great read

My 9 year old daughter and I love reading about WW2. We found this book interesting and thought provoking. Appropriate for children and learnt lots of new vocabulary.

My 9 year old son has really enjoyed this book. He seems to like non fiction better than fiction these days.A great selecting of interesting short stories set around the World War 2, which won't only entertain them but you too!

Bought as a gift,kids loved it!

This has been bought for one of our grandsons and feel sure he'll be impressed with it. I like the idea of letting the young people get a feeling of how life was during the war, without frightening them!

We bought this book because we were doing a WWII project. We had fun reading it because the stories were real and heartwarming. They are very good, interesting stories which demonstrate compassion and forgiveness.

It’s important that everyone knows their history and this book helps. WW2 is not just a story, it’s a cautionary tale about what can happen and we all need to remember and teach our children so that they recognize the evil as soon as it pops up.

Grandson could not put it down. Loved the book

This is intended as a children's book to highlight some of the bravery and good deeds that occurred during WWII. Yet, as an adult, I also enjoyed reading these stories. Two I knew about and the rest were new. While written in a basic style for younger readers, I think some adults will enjoy these as well. They are certainly conversation starters for families when this war is brought up in school.

These stories were fun to read and my 8 year old loved to listen as we read them together.
