Finally. A land line call blocking system that is SMART and it WORKS !!!! KX-TGF975
I have been looking for an effective land line call blocking system for years. And it is finally here. On day 1 this thing started working. On day two I turned the call block settings on which requires all phone calls to press a number before I even hear a ring. This alone is worth the entire system. Any phone number that I approve and add to my phone book will bypass this extra step, but even if not, it is no big deal for a caller. This is a feature rich system in many more ways and it takes a while to read the instructions and understand what settings you want. I am very happy with this system. I rarely write product reviews, but this product is so awesome that I want to share how good it is. Scammers and telemarketers are getting more bold and sophisticated each day and we finally have a sophisticated land line tool that is very effective at ridding us of these annoying calls. Thank you, thank you, thank you Panasonic.

A good set. Very usable.
I like these phones! I got them to replace an old set of Panasonic phones. They're definitely an upgrade. We never use the bluetooth. There is a version without it that's probably simpler to program; but programming ie wasn't all that hard. The only thing sub par is voice announcing the caller. While an improvement over the old model, she still has really strange pronunciations of most names and places. You can adjust her volume, though, so it's tolerable. All in all, not disappointed. PS: the spam blocking functions really eliminates a lot of annoying calls which we barely know about. And that's a big deal!

Link to Cell was why I purchased it
I had an older DECT 6.0 Panasonic phone & the only reason I upgraded was for the Link to Cell functionality which my older unit did not have. The new unit came with batteries which are super small and light weight. The feel and function of the handset feels good in hand; it has some spam filtering features built right into the phone. You pair your cell phone via blue tooth and now you can answer your handset as an extension of your cell phone which is always on my charger in another room, and I can never hear it ring so I was missing some important work calls. Just for the Link to Cell functionality it was worth the upgrade. The LCD brightness is great, I have no issues seeing who's calling. I wished that when you linked it to Cell that it would have the option to bring over your address book which currently it does not have that option.

Worth the Money, If You Hate Robo Calls
I ordered these for my parents as their main unit was struck by lightning. My mom asked if there was any way to order a phone that would block the numerous robocalls they received each day. After some reading and research, I chose these phones as several websites and reviewers stated that the phones did exactly what my mother wanted. I have to say, I'm impressed. The phone is designed such that you have to interact with the message to get through to the person you're trying to reach. If you program in specific numbers, or it's a number that's answered often, it will let it through without the prompt. After some weeks, the system will prompt again; I guess to verify that it's still a valid caller and that the number hasn't been spoofed. All the functions mentioned in the description are available, and they backlight in the evenings. All in all, love the phones and will probably get a set for my home when needed.

When buying additional handsets to add on to your phone system
If you order this as an extra handset you will have to place it on the master base to "register" otherwise it is not recognized. It will activate but will say "no power to main base" until you register it at the main base and the phone will not ring until registered to be part of the phone system. I think I pressed the locator button as well. It will walk you through it.

Make sure you set it up before the 30 day return period
Bought this phone a few months back but did not set it up til recently. Having had my old Panasonic for over 15 years, I didn't anticipate any problems. WRONG.First, being a senior, I had hoped for a loud ring. Not particularly loud even on the highest setting. Ditto for the volume of the calls. (With my hearing aids and speaker phone ON.)Second, one of the handsets is not working properly in that the screen is grayed out and is missing about one fourth to one third of screen on the right. Thus, I cannot see how charged the battery is, I have to guess at what is on the menu or use another working handset as a guide.Third, not sure why but for some reason the base lost power and had to be powered back up. It only happened once in the week I've had it set up, so hopefully, it is not an ongoing issue. And although I have hardly used them, the handsets seem to be frequently charging.Fourth, since there is supposedly a warranty, I went to the website. It says to register the product first. (I thought I had registered it through the phone which has an item called "register" but apparently not.) To register It asks for the model number--there are two similar but different model numbers on the two stickers referred to. Then I have to find the serial number. These instructions were clear enough on how to find the information. Then they ask date of purchase, purchase price (what does that have to do with it--does the cheaper price mean you're low on the priority or does it mean that the cheaper price means "of course the telephone is defective" for that price. In any event, I looked up this information on the Amazon website But then, Panasonic wants you to upload a picture of the model number and the serial number. Unfortunately, my computer for some reason is not working in this regard so I am unable to upload this information, which means I cannot register the product? And if you have to upload the pictures of the stickers with the model and serial numbers, why ask this on the registration form in the first place? This is a bunch of baloney. In short, I'll have to find another way to register and find out about the warranty. I'm assuming there is another route, but it's already been troublesome and time consuming just to be able to exercise my access to the warranty. So added to what I consider a woefully inadequate registration and warranty process, the defect in the one handset and the over all mediocre sound quality of the handsets, all in all, I am extremely disappointed Until now, I've had good experiences with all my Panasonic products. If you have good hearing and are tech savvy and patient enough to comply with the rigmarole uploading, etc., this phone might be fine, but if you have any hearing deficit and like things (like warranty and registration) to be simple and uncomplicated, this is not the phone for you. So if you decide to buy the phone anyway, make sure you set it up asap just in case you need to return it to Amazon.UPDATE; Well, I guess the base unit losing power is an ongoing issue cuz it happened again. I suppose it's easy enough to resolve by disconnecting the base from the power cord per instructions, but for someone with arthritic fingers, even the disconnecting part can be challenging because the connection goes into a recessed area which is a tad hard for me to access.I have given up on the warranty because it's clear that Panasonic wants to make it as complicated as possible. When I'm in a better mood, I might try again.
