What's the difference between the 220 and the ranger

The Ranger has exactly the same level of waterproofing as the 220 and is made of a more robust plastic. It also has a 50% longer transmit time. There is also size a slight size difference. Operationally they are the same.

Can I use this on land?

Yes, I bought it for my son for safety who does a lot of hill climbing. I have a different one for the sea but you can use them both land or offshore.

Could the seller confirm the battery expiration date please. Really want to buy one but battery replacement is expensive.

Hi... This is a new McMurdo Fastfind in a sealed box, but the battery life spec is six years, and will therefore be the expected life of a new unit. If you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to contact us. Regards, Offshore... Outdoors.

Does this have a mmsi number on it , my company need it to have a mmsi number on how do i get it on this

Cannot find a specific reference to a MMSI number on my device - it has a HEX Id and also a PLB 9 digit number. Not sure if MMSI refers to marine vessel use only.

Peace of mind for solo walkers

It's difficult to review this device as one would hope never to have to use it, like an insurance policy for example. However for a solitary fell walker like myself, it's good to know I have it with me if the unthinkable happens and even then it would only be used as a (very) last resort.
