In california it hasnt been that cold but now that I can use my fireplace, I will say, these ceramic fire balls are amazing. The look is an upgrade from a fake piece of wood. They turn red when hot which also adds to the aesthetic. Love love love this and I would recommend this item

I have an extremely active Bengal kitten that was continuously getting into the fireplace and knocking out the decorative glass I had in there. Bought these in all three sizes and not only do they look fantastic, the kitten has lost interest in them. Win-win!

Definitely more unique than standard lava rock. I debated on what size to get, since my fire pit is only 24". I ended up with the gray 4" balls, thinking I would get the best coverage, but I think all 3 sizes could look great in different scenarios. I think a combination of sizes could look great, too!I don't know how practical these really are from a cost standpoint. The 3 sizes are sold in different quantities at different prices, but none of them are what I would call cheap. If you're already going all out with a backyard oasis though, dropping a few more bucks on a box or two of these could really put it over the top. Very classy looking for sure, and they really should last a good long time as well.Now I just have to dig some of the regular lava rock out from under these, so I can put the lid on my fire pit!

These look great, however after only 10 minutes these are left with black burn marks on them. If you’re going to buy these I would buy the already black ones, otherwise I would look elsewhere. Too expensive to go through them so fast.

The media could not be loaded. I really wanted to love these. They looked so perfect and they look beautiful at night with the fire on. But they get black as soon as the flames hit them. They are wayyyy too pricey to do this. I kept them and may try to wash but obviously not going to be doing that every time.

I saw these ceramic fire balls initially on an Instagram post from Architectural digest and Kim Kardashian's home and searched endless for them until I found these on Amazon. They are perfect and elevate my modern long fire table perfectly.
