Nice strong rod
I haven't caught anything on it yet but I got it yesterday and took it out, got snagged on something under my kayak. Using the 7'3" MH fast action with a 4000 Spartacus 2 reel, 20lb braid. I was yanking on it as hard as I could to get free for a good while, line ended up snapping at my leader connection point. Definitely a good stout rod for the price, casts well, I bought this for saltwater fishing and I have no doubts I'll be able to muscle in some decent sized fish. Very pleased with it.Updated review: been catching porgies, fluke, weakfish, etc with this rod. Been great so far. Primarily using for saltwater kayak fishing and is great for that but I've also done some surf casting with it. Good all around rod.The rod is comfortable to hold, well balanced, and seems to be a good all around rod for saltwater and larger bass fishing in freshwater. Can bomb some fairly heavy weights with this setup. My one and only complaint about this rod is the hook keeper. It is pretty much useless in my opinion because it's positioned so that I kept stabbing myself when I pick up the rod. I ended up just hooking to the connection point of one of the guides. Not sure why they designed it like that, but it's a minor issue especially considering the price.

Good for the price
Better than i expected it to be. I bought this as a way to kinda test out the quality of the Kastking rods, it has exceeded my expectations. Has amazing sensitivity for a 2-piece rod, the cork grip feels like its decent quality and the guides seem to be holding up pretty well so far. Plus it comes with a second tip section which is pretty cool since thats where rods tend to get damaged so its nice having a backup if something happens. Was quite impressed with the durability of the shipping tube as I've had a lot of issues with rods being broken in shipping, the quality of the shipping packaging from Kastking is better than what I've experienced from the higher end vrands like Okuma and St. Croix so they definitely get a big thumbs up on that.Casts extremely well for a medium power rod and has been plenty strong and durable landing some decent size fish. Will definitely try out more of the Kastking rods along with picking up another one of these.

Incredible versatility and quality
I’ve used the KastKing Spartacus II Twin-Tip rod for about two months now on various lake and river fishing trips, and it's easily become one of the most versatile setups in my gear collection.Pros:Twin-Tip Versatility: Having two distinct tip sections included with one handle is a massive game-changer. It lets you quickly adjust your action and power rating based on lure weight or target species without carrying multiple full rods.IM6 Graphite Blank: The blank is lightweight, well-balanced, and surprisingly sensitive. You can easily feel soft nibbles and bottom structure while maintaining plenty of backbone for strong hooksets.Quality Power Transition System (PTS): The 2-piece construction feels seamless under pressure and bends smoothly like a 1-piece rod when fighting fish.Comfortable Rubber Cork Handle: The handle offers a solid, non-slip grip that holds up well when wet and feels great during long casting sessions.Cons:Tip Storage: Because it comes with an extra tip section, be mindful about storing and protecting the unused tip when traveling so it doesn't get damaged or misplaced.I can run lighter jigs and finesse rigs on the lighter tip, then swap to the heavier tip section for throwing crankbaits or heavier topwater lures. The guides are smooth, and cast distance is top-tier.If you want high-end features, excellent sensitivity, and two setup options in a single convenient package, this rod delivers unbeatable value!

Great rod
I got the 7,10” heavy fast casting combo. The rod is great nice backbone but still feel a tick on the line. I use it as my frog rod. I got the combo with the matching Spartacus II reel and let me tell you it’s slim and sleek but it’s no slouch. I love all my KK gear and fish tournaments weekly with it. I have 8 different casting setups and one spinning outfit all KK plus today I’ve ordered 1 more casting and 1 more spinning reel. Next is the mega jaws reel. The only reason for 4 stars is my preference. It does have a long tail behind the reel but I wish it was 2” longer I have long arms at 6,1” and that’s my only complaint. Rods very sensitive like I said and the performance is that of a 300$+ rod. Little heavy but it’s a long rod. You cannot beat the price and performance of kastking gear period. Their clothing and hats are awesome too. I’m in Florida so it’s 100* plus now but the shirts breathe. I’ll have a new YouTube up shortly using and reviewing this gear, so look for Marty-RR outdoors.

Best dropshot/jigging rods for the money on the market
The 7'3" medium/fast-action KastKing Spartacus II is a top-notch dropshot and jigging rod...Put these KastKing Spartacus II spinning rods against ANY big names in the market (especially "entry-level" rods made by St Croix, Douglas, Penn, you name it) and these KastKing graphite rods are easily as good if not better. I literally ordered two of the medium/fast-action 7'3" Spartacus II rods and used them for night walleye fishing the day they arrived. I reeled in over a dozen walleye on these rods ranging from 2-9 lbs, and many smallmouth bass weighing 2-5 lbs. These are amazing rods...the rod tips have optimal sensitivity to feel those rather subtle walleye bites, and they have the perfect amount of "back-bone" for reeling in big walleye and bass. These rods are absolutely the perfect length and sensitivity I like to use for all of my bass and walleye fishing out from boat or shore on Lake Erie, for drop-shotting AND jigging. It's not easy to find 2-piece, 7-ft 3-inch rods with these specs, and they're always missing something you'd like to have on your rod. KastKing got this one right and priced them out to sell.I'd recommend pairing these with 2000-3000 sized spinning reels. 2000-sized is optimal, 3000 if you really need the larger spool and line.Love the hook keeper, the fact that these rods separate into 2 pieces for easy storage and transport, and the absolute BONUS of coming with extra rod tips. Don't need to worry about my kids breaking rod tips since I have replacements. The "big overpriced brands" you see at the big sporting goods store would charge well over $100 for these rods, and no way they'd include tip replacements up-front.Thanks, KastKing, for making these rods affordable and getting ALL the features right...2-piece, hook keeper, IM6 graphite, the tip replacements, and the cork handles are very comfortable. This is a 5-star dropshot/jigging rod for bass, walleye, and all types of fishing in general. Highly recommend. I'll be buying more for sure especially to replace other rods that I have (that were more expensive). And btw, that small "hook" on the handle near the reel seat is a HOOK KEEPER. I saw a review where someone was complaining about snags while casting with this rod, then saw his line literally running through the hook keeper and out the rest of the guides. No wonder he was getting snagged and tangled up.

Excellent value for the price
As I believe fishing poles have gotten ridiculously over priced for the average non competitive fisherman trying to equip not only himself but his kids as well, this Kast King rod does a very good job of balancing affordability with quality. I currently own no less than 11 Kast King spinning rods. Eight Crixus models and now three Spartacus II models in L, ML, M and MH fast actions and have been very satisfied in all respects EXCEPT ONE. I wish Kast king offered the spinning rods in a one piece design for I believe increased sensitivity, but I understand the problems crated by shipping a fishing rod 7'-7'3" creates. My oldest Kast King Crixus rods are over 8 years old now and all my Kast King rods are still functioning the same as if brand new.In the under $50 price point for spinning rods for everything from panfish to bass and walleye you can't beat Kast King IM6 spinning rods.

KastKing for the Win!
This Rod has a great feel. Ultra sensitive. You won’t miss even the tiniest bite. But has the backbone to land this 20in brown trout with comfort.I absolutely love this thing. Paired it with a Lew’s American Hero and 8lb KastKing braid. Buttery smooth! Never looking anywhere else. Kastking for Win!
