Chinese Mantid which are INVASIVE and decimating our native species, the Carolina mantis. Stay away.

what species of mantid are these?

Tenodera sinensis is an invasive species that destroys pollinators in NJ. https://njaudubon.org/praying-mantis-indiscriminate-predator/

What type of Mantis are they? Green, stick.

One poster said brown mantis were male and green were female, this is not true - they can both be either. Female mantids grow significantly larger than males but you will only find that out in the later part of their lives. Counting the segments in the abdomen is the only way to tell before then. The males’ antennae are also longer and thinner than females.
