What that lady said? “My hair it don’t move!” This gel is the best I’ve ever used. I used it for my edges and as you can see it worked perfectly. The first pic is over 13 hours after I did my hair. The second pic is the following morning after I slept and woke up. This gel kept my hair in place for over 24 hours. It’s not oily and doesn’t leave any white residue on my hair especially when it dries down. It’s smells great too. I’ve used this gel in like 5 other people’s hair and I still have some left, that’s definitely value for my money.

The gel was wrapped tightly in plastic, no leaks and the gel texture was good and stiff. Works excellent on my daughter's 4c hair . It's easy to smooth down so you can avoid white residue.

Update: I’m not changing my star rating because this stuff does what it claims. It will lay your hair down like nobody’s business. But it is heavy and it will leave a haze on your hair. I felt a little self conscious at work wondering if anybody noticed. It also leaves your hair very shiny which I’m not fan of… my final thoughts on it? Use it if really needed but in moderation. The strong smell is concerning. I also saw on the container where this is manufactured in Korea.I have very resistant and could hair. I guess it would be considered 4c but it has thinned out so much as I’ve gotten older that I think 4c is a little misleading. Thinner hair is a lot easier to control and deal with so I just want to make that disclaimer.This edge control definitely works. I would say it works better than the very popular brand that comes in a lot of variations … like extra hard, extra firm etc etc.I’ve learned to trick is to not manipulate the hair once it’s applied. Combing or brushing after application causes it to lift and not work as well. I used this at 8:30 this am and it’s 2pm. My hairline is still plastered down.Now, the drawbacks is it is gummy. I only use this when I’m close to wash day. I wouldn’t use this on my freshly washed hair. Also the scent isn’t great. It smells like a cheap men’s cologne. And the smell lingers. It’s been practically a full day since application, and I can still smell it.It’s on the shiny side but I just take a towel and try to lightly pat it to take some shine away.Overall, it does what it says. You won’t be disappointed with the hold. It really lasts all day. And I didn’t use a scarf or anything. Merely brushed my hair back into a ponytail. And then applied this around my hairline and went to work.

This is a good product but if you sweat it does not hold up and it does not hold like they say in the video but still hold better that most and no flaking and white residue. I would purchase it again.

Holds great

One thing I really love is the shine it gives. My braids look super clean and polished without feeling crunchy or stiff. It also doesn’t flake, which is a huge plus! The scent is light and pleasant, not overpowering at all.

Works well for my daughters 4c hair which has been hard to tame with other edge gels.
