Heavy Duty 4"Flexible Dryer Vent Exhaust Duct Hose 6 Feet, Extra Thick(6-ply) Aluminum Foil HVAC Ducting Kit with 2 Key Hose Clamps

I was getting a new dryer from Home Depot. I decided I better clean the dryer exhaust pipe (since I had not done so since moving in). Ugh... Too much lint. After vacuuming and sweeping I just threw away the old light weight flexible pipe that was still lint encrusted. Then I made the mistake of buying a semi-rigid pipe- too heavy- and I could not for the life of me attach it to the ceiling pipe that vented to the outside- it was too heavy- and aluminum tape would not secure it and i could not force the crimped end onto the outdoor pipe extension. And my old arthritic hands kept fumbling those stupid worm clamps trying to hold them in place, hold the pipe and turn a screwdriver at the same time. Then I saw this product- had a good feeling and ordered it. It felt MUCH more well made, heavy duty compared to my old exhaust vent pipe but nowhere near as heavy and unyielding as the semi rigid tube that totally stymied all my efforts to install. This worked like a dream- easy to connect, handle, and quickly tightened down with those yellow paddles, then smoothed into place with thick aluminized duct tape. I felt like a real handy man for sure even though I am all thumbs. And I was ready for the delivery and install of my new dryer! Yaaa !!! 😀👍

Local hardware stores only carry 8-foot long dryer hoses, which is a problem for my situation. While I can make an 8-foot hose fit, it is just barely and it tends to rip. This hose is 12 feet and easily covers the distance. I can also leave part of it compressed since I don't need the full lenght and it does not affect the functionality. I also like the clamps with thumb screws - they make it easier to install. I also like the smooth bands at each hose end - they make it easier to apply the clamps. I like it and would buy again.

I’m not sure why we didn’t buy a new hose sooner! We’ve always had a hard time keeping our old dryer hose attached, and for the past couple of years, it would pop off every now and then and my husband would spend way too much time trying to get behind the dryer to get it back on. One day, my husband came home to a super humid house and realized the hose had a hole in it. We decided to replace it with this one and wow, what a difference! It’s very flexible, and the clips on the bottom are so much easier to use than our old model that we had to tighten with a screwdriver. Highly recommend! Great price!

The product is flexible enough for my needs, but still feels very study and I suspect it will last a long time. The clips are also great, I love that they have thumb screws so I don't need to mess around with a drill or screwdriver behind my dryer. Great price as well!

Exhaust duct seemed ok. I thought I would prefer the ring clamps with the hand-turned key but the yellow part is too big to be able to tighten, in some spots (like where the duct contracts to the back of the dryer). Had to use my old clamp with the screw. At least with the screw, it's skinny enough to tighten with a screw driver. It was easy to tighten/use though, where it had space at least.

The Steelsoft Heavy Duty 4"Flexible Dryer Vent Exhaust Duct Hose-3 Feet was easily installed on my electric dryer. The duct ends have plenty of clearance (maybe a bit too much) when slipping over dryer outlet and exterior wall vent. The ducting has enough rigidity to hold itself in place when the dryer is exhausting - much better so that the flimsy plastic accordion ducting that this replaced. The 'wing nut' style adjustment on the clamps are a nice addition for a 'tool free' install.

Appears to be a great product. Both ends fit perfectly and the included clamps easily secured the hose ends. The 3’ length was perfect for my application.

Got this for a neighborhood widow. This was a true life saver. Semi-rigid wouldn’t fit over wall vent. HD delivery couldn’t install dryer, suggested a vent wall plate. Much more expensive and would have involved much more labor. This piece works great and super easy to install. Arrived in less than 12 hours!
