I was really impressed by the quality of this spinner. It appears to be made of metal and has some really nice weight to it. The paint job is really good as well. When you spin this thing it SOUNDS like a Golden Snitch. It's really pretty dang awesome. My girlfriend loved it. She's a huge Harry Potter fan. I'm almost even considering getting one for myself. Oh, and it comes with it's own case too. Definitely recommended for Potter Heads.

This snitch is nicer than I thought it might be for the very low price I paid, under $9 US. Any kid that likes this stuff would probably like this.It just arrived, so I have only had it for about an hour now, but it seems well made. I took it apart, it unscrews, and it has tiny ball bearings inside that work quite well. They keep it spinning for a very long time if you keep the snitch horizontal. The case is simple, but it works. It is an inexpensive plastic, zippered case that will protect the toy.I can not comment on the longevity of the snitch, nor the case, as I have only had it about an hour, but I see no reason for it to fail in any short order. I am a 61 year old Physics geek (M.I.T.), so I know a wee bit about construction, bearings, engineering, etc.That's my two cents worth, though it may not be worth the aforementioned two cents. I bought this as one of the gifts for our grandson's Harry Potter 7th birthday party. It was a hit with everyone! It's heavy and really well made. The case is kind of an afterthought and doesn't quite seem to match it but who cares. It brought a lot of joy. :)

The replica is awesome. It has a nice weight to it and spins in a manner that reminds you of the original. The pouch has a strong chemical smell. I put the pouch in a bag of baking soda overnight prior to gifting, and the smell was still very strong. I purchased a few more just for the replicas. I left the pouches outside in the sun to see if they will lose the smell.

So the appearance of the spinner looks more expensive than what I paid. The size was perfect and we loved the case that came with it so that she would not lose the spinner. If you are a Hardy Potter fan definitely buy this item. The golden spinner looks very elegant and super cute for kids or adults who need to keep their fingers busy while in class or meetings quietly.

It’s perfectly balanced so it spins forever. A bit smaller and much heavier than expected, which are both good things, honestly. It’s really cute. I bought a few more as gifts for the other HP fans in my life.
