A very small machinists rule. Easy and clear to read and surprisingly easy to read half millimetres really clearly. That I was surprised at. A nice useful tool

Love it, having seen a colleague with one and noticing the graduations are easier to read I wanted to get one. Better than a normal uniform size graduation as they alter the height every 2mm making it quicker to read.

It is quite a lot of money to pay for a tiny ruler like this but I has its uses.The main thing about it is that it is excellent for precision measurements. The advantage this ruler has is that it is very thin. This reduces the parallax error that you would get between the marking on the ruler and the point of measurement if you are looking at the ruler from an angle. With thicker rulers, if the marking is a mm or more above the measurement point, looking at it from an angle (measuring something above head height or at arms length) can easily introduce a mm or more error, whereas here, the elevation is only 0.4mm so offset is minimal.Also, it is good for fitting into very tight spaces.

The satin chrome makes it easy to read by suppressing reflections of light sources. I like having the same graduations along the whole length rather than unreadably fine ones for a short section.

I bought this rule to fit into a edge measuring tool as it states 12.7mm wide which equates to 1/2 inch imperial. It is not as the photo will confirm it’s only 11.6mm …468imp. .38mm thick not .4mm so no good to me and wow it’s greatly overpriced and looks like a Chinese copy, no hole in the end to hang it up no way of holding it without covering the measurements. Sorry Starratt but won’t trust your kit anymore will stick with Moore & Wright.

But I thought this was going to be ten times the length. Not very clear on the ad but Amazon refunded me.

Ce réglet est un peu cher mais vraiment très pratique dans son utilisation quand on lui adjoint un étui en bois avec un aimant car le réglet seul reste très souple et peut facilement se plier et se perdre.

High quality! Expensive yes but it is a precision tool
