Simple solution to a design flaw with some of these sharpeners

This little devise stiffens the setup to remove any droop from the blade weight. Does however cause extra work each time the blade is flipped. Overall does exactly what it was designed to do. Is a little pricy for a piece of plastic though, otherwise would be 5 stars.

I really like it fits perfectly in the storage container and in the work sharp I would buy it again

The only down side to this is that you are no longer able to utilize the "easy flip" feature of the worksharp sharpening system, but it's not like it is a big deal to take the knife out and turn it over to reclamp. It might add a few moments to the overall process, but it is well worth it to not feel like one might accidentally break the sharpening system otherwise. Good purchase

Dose the job

You'd think they would include this in the kit. Great buy. Exactly what you need for your worksharp.

I’ve only had the bracket pull off a couple of times so I didn’t really think I needed this but my sharpener feels much more solid now. Build quality in this little guy is good too

It offers quite a bit of stability, but take some getting used to when flipping your knife to alternate edges. I don’t think this is better or worse than any of the other ones that are available, it’s just the one I bought
