Works good
Fit right on my troy bilt bronco crt tiller. Bolt holes lined up well, retracts the pull cord good. Was a well needed replacement for the old wore out original.

A working snow-blower again!
My nephew needed a new Recoil Starter for their Cub Cadet Two-stage Snow Blower. after the original rope broke, he tried to fix it, but then the coiled spring 'sprung' and so a new starter was needed. He did some research online and found this starter , and it was a match, so we ordered it, and after it was received, was installed, and lo and behold, it fit and IT WORKS!!. So, now I don't have to be a pest and tell him to get it fixed...

DOES NOT FIT CRAFTSMAN 208CC TILLER (NOT COMPATIBLE W/ 951-12418)
I have a 208cc Craft"s"man Tiller.OEM Recoil Starter Assembly = 951-12418.The part I purchased from Amazon is thinner than the OEM part by about 1/4".When this part is assembled to replace the 951-12148, it bottoms out before it can mate flush with the larger sheetmetal shroud.THIS PART IS ADVERTISED AS A COMPATIBLE REPLACEMENT FOR 951-12148. IT IS NOT.
