Trying to decide between 8" and 12". For those that have used this product, which do you prefer?

Typically you would want to use the smallest tool that still serves your purpose. The reason is that you will be moving this around a lot and if it’s too long for your project you will be putting in a lot of unnecessary movement and more opportunities to slam it into other items in your shop. The 8” is great unless you are working with larger pieces of lumber regularly. Eventually you will have both as well as the 4”. Trust me. Start with the 8 unless your project requires a 12.

Has anyone actually used this product? I just purchased one but the reviews seem extremely generic and cookie cutter.

I got one while back and it become a main tool in my shop,I would like to have Woodpeckers products but price are out of my range but on the plus side my Woodraphic Signature Precision square had bunch of hole that I use on my project I have and the use for the advantage that Woodpeckers done have.

How can I be sure of the accuracy of this square?i

As accurate a square as possible. I've never had to tighten mine. I use this each and every day and it's always "true."
