This worked great for me. Much easier and faster that using a grout bag.

I was pleased with its performance and its construction, however, the plastic tips do not last long because grouting stone rubs them down rather quickly and then the plastic burrs fold in and block flow. I’m hoping that there are metal tips that can be purchased. Also, if you are working alone like I was you may have to create something to hold the hopper while refilling to keep it from falling over.

This worked great for me. The important thing was mixing type s masonry mix with Portland cement ( 50/50 ) and adding dawn liquid soap in the water to make it flow well.

The listing clearly has a picture with dimensions and shows that the tube part is 45mm. It isn't, it's 37mm which means the volume of mortar in the tube part is almost 50% smaller. The welding job is absolutely horrible, very sloppy. The stainless steel is only the tube and the hopper. The shaft, bearings, and the spiral thing are ordinary steel which will rust. The pictures show the replacement which arrived WITHOUT the auger shaft and rusty! It's too expensive for what it is. I do not recommend this. Buy normal non stainless steel version for half the price.

Setup: Attached to Milwaukee M12 drill and used it to apply type S mortar with 3/8" joints on reclaimed brick. If an M12 can power it than any other quality cordless drill should be adequate.Results: Would have taken 2 guys 3 days to pipe in with bags, this beast allowed 1 guy to do it in 2 days flat.Notes: mix should be soupy and you may snag on larger pieces from time to time but only once did it bind up and need the stone removed. Occasionally you may need to remove tip to clean it out but if you flush a hoppers worth of mortar through after sitting during strike and tooling this seems to reduce blockage to rarely.The location of the handle is cumbersome and personally should be on side rather than bottom.Easy to clean

I was skeptical before I bought this it looked awkward to hold and and with the weight of the mortar heavy . I used it to grout a 24 x44 detached garage which I brick ( 1 5/8" deep) veered the whole building.Which I did by myself in about a week and a half it worked flawlessly, I highly would recommend it Stan.

Well I haven't used it yet. I just opened the box and noticed that if I were to attempt to use it straight out of the box, it would be a hot mess. The area where the hopper meets the gun has a large gap as seen in the picture. So what will prevent mortar coming out that hole instead of just the intended tip of the gun? I'll be able to put some silicone in it, but I don't feel I should have to do that being as though it's brand new. I didn't choose the least expensive option either. Had I known that I was going to get a pathetic welding attempt on pieces of scrap metal that were apparently not measured, I would have just gotten the $20 gun. Not a good example of getting what you pay for in my opinion I hope that it works. Judging by my first impression I won't be surprised if it fails.
