This door mat works very well to take mud and moisture from foot and paw traffic. Living in the countryside it's usually covered in mud at this time of year - showing it's doing its job - but it hoovers easily and comes up even nicer after being in the washing machine. If you only need a mat to do the job of trapping dirt rather than also looking attractive, there are other more industrial appearing far cheaper alternatives that work very well. For practicality, I used to have one of those by my front door, but it looked dreary. I'm really pleased I replaced it with this elegant mat, which is a bit of an extravagance at the price, but it's been worth it to brighten the hallway and it's actually even better at preventing muddy foot and paw prints being walked onto the floor.

I have several of these mats in different patterns and they are just excellent. Fully recommended.
