Very thick! Good quality.

These are thick but that is exactly what I was looking for. I have my work cut out for me when I go to install but I am happy with the edging so far. I will update after install if I need to change my rating.

Sturdy/heavy. Uneven patina.

These are well made and are very thick and heavy. I haven't exactly installed them yet, but I'm guessing it is not going to be that easy if the ground is hard. I am planning on putting these along some chain link fencing to keep out the weeds from my neighbor's yard. I know it will be difficult to pound these into the ground because the ground is compacted, but also, the fence will be in the way. Plus, these are heavy and I'm a petite female. I did already try to put these into the ground along the driveway temporarily, to keep water from draining onto the driveway during a heavy storm. Even though the soil was wet, I couldn't really push them in by hand. (I didn't want to pound them in because I am going to move them.)My only issue with these is that the patina was not even. In fact, these looked like they got rusted accidentally and therefore, the company decided to sell it with a "patina." At the end of the day, it doesn't really matter since these are going to rust anyway, but...My other comment is that it seems like it might be dangerous to put these in the front yard where people might walk because if someone were to trip and fall and land on one of these, I think they would get pretty injured. I would only put these where there isn't going to be a lot of foot traffic, especially kid traffic. For my purposes, it doesn't matter since it is going next to a chain link.

Sturdy

I bought 2 packs and they worked well. I was able to curve them and cut with a hack saw easily when I needed to. They look great.

Very sturdy with an interesting patina

We have friends who created a raised bed garden using this kind of rust-patina metal material, and we really liked the look. When I saw this edging, I knew it would be great to have in our garden. I had planned to install it along the edges of our lawn, which has some curves. Did I say these were sturdy? Well, their strength and durability is also what makes them a little hard to work with. These are not only heavy, but it is hard to get them installed so that they gracefully follow the rounded edges of our lawn. It is hard to bend them, so they looked a little clunky on our hillside lawn. We've decided to put them in the back of our garden, in an area that has more classic lines and perpendicular edges. Once they are in, they are so well made that it is clear that we will not want to (re)move them. They are nice looking, but be aware that if you are a woman (or man) in your 60s, you might need some help installing these.

Tall and heavy duty

What a nice look this edging has. The patina finish is exactly what I'm hoping some of my other edging will achieve. The edging is 42" wide by 8" tall and comes with metal fastening clips for the seams. Taller than most edging available. I only like metal edging, the plastic edging is just too flimsy for my needs. When installing I find it best to wet the soil down prior and dig a small trench and then secure the edging into the ground with the help of a piece of wood. This edging is thick and handles hammering very well. Because it is so thick it takes some effort to mold it around curves. The spiked bottom helps penetrate the ground and the materials offer years of solid edging with a great look. I use edging to separate my grass from my flower beds and I like to have the edging deep to prevent grass rhizomes from spreading to the flower beds. With the taller 8" edging, separation is easily achieved. The only caution I give is some parts of the metal can be sharp, please use gloves when handling. Compared to some of the local metal edging from supply houses, this products cost and quality is better.

Nice and taller than average

I got these edging panels to create a little wall between my carport and the slightly-elevated garden beds that directly abut it because leaves keep rolling into the carport, and I'm tired of raking them out. I needed something tall enough that the leaves wouldn't overtop, but not so comically tall that the carport looked goofy. These hit the spot! Easy to install, very solid, and best of all-a couple inches taller than the standard stuff. So far, so good! The leaves from the two nearby oak trees are staying on their side of the edging, and my carport is clean as a whistle.

Difficult to create a smooth tight curve

I have some small garden beds that I thought these would be good for, since they’re so expensive per linear foot. They ARE very heavy and sturdy. My postal carrier probably hates me now. Hopefully they’ll become more attractive as they oxidize, which should happen quickly in my region.Because each panel is so thick, it’s difficult to create smooth, tight curves in small garden beds. If you’re landscaping a large area you might be able to create the long gentle curves portrayed in the product photos, but it will cost you a fortune and it will be punctuated by the brackets included every 3 feet or so.I don’t think I’m wild about the way these look, but they are impressively sturdy.
