The media could not be loaded. This is a thin strip light bar. Not sure if LED'S are good for fish though? It's super bright. It maybe helping algae growth? So far the plants seem to be doing pretty good. It surely doesn't cover the top off the tank. So if that's what you want or need you'll spend a lot more $. This fits its purpose of cheap bright lights. The fish don't seem to care. I have this on an automated Amazon timer plug.For an inexpensive fix when your hood lights go out it's not a bad purchase.

This set of aquarium light works just well as the other lights that I have bought for my fish tank and at a cheaper price. My plants in the fish tank are thriving with this light. It is easier to set up. The added plus to this light is that it has a timer.

I love that this light is adjustable to the size of my aquarium. The rails can move in or out within a range to accommodate variations in tank size. The lights are beautiful and full spectrum, which is important to me because I plan to grow micro violets in the aquarium (now a terrarium). It’s also nice that it’s a thin strip and not built into a lid, so the light can stay in place while I water and maintain the plants.The timer is either limited ir simple, depending on how you choose to view it. You can set it for 3, 6, or 12 hours, but you have to be there at the time you want it to start. And, you can’t do 8 or 9 or 10 hours. This light really makes the tank shine (so much so that I now see the scratches in the glass, which means I may end up replacing the aquarium because of this nice little light.

The variance in size is basically the smallest is the actual size, and they come with sliders to reach the size listed on the maximum. So the item is actually the smaller size listed. I have a few of these by different manufacturers. This one is brighter than my others. It is also slimmer (only 2.5 inches for the 18-24 version).The control switch has 4 levels of brightness, the "white/blue/both" light button, the on/off, and a timer. Since mine is on my fish tank, it is already on a "timer" so don't need that function myself.It gets about as hot as my others, which is warm to the touch, not really hot at all.Overall does everything they say, has more functions than most others, and works great.

So far I like this light. I am using it along with a 2nd similar light on a 20" cube tank (20x20x20) with live plants. very nice color temp and brightness for the price.
