DreamLine 32 in. D x 32 in. W x 76 3/4 in. H Center Drain Acrylic Shower Base and QWALL-5 Backwall Kit In White, DL-6195C-01

We decided to remodel our extra bathroom. After looking at the local hardware store, we looked on Amazon and found this DreamLine shower. It didn't include the doors but we luckily found a DreamLine door kit also on Amazon. Before making the purchase, I asked the sellers if these 2 parts fit together. I was assured they DID fit. I completed my order and waited patiently for the parts to be shipped. The enclosure arrived weeks before the base so it had to be stored for a short time. My husband, a union contractor, worked to install the shower once the base arrived. The base was installed and the cement backer boards were placed into the grooves with the shower walls attached to the cement backer boards. We started to install the glass shower enclosure and quickly realized this enclosure DOES NOT fit the base. This is what DreamLine support had to say: " Due to the nature of the parts that you will need, and that this is not an issue covered under Warranty, you will need to visit one of our dealers to purchase the correct panels. I recommend going through Home Depot or Lowe's, as they submit such part orders more frequently than Amazon or our other internet dealers. The box number you need is SHEN-GLP2101-343410 (part #03 Stationary Panel, 2 pcs). I'm hoping and praying that Amazon straightens this matter out without further cost to me!

The base is very well built. However, the side panels are a pain to install. Unless u have good contractor or u are very handy I rather use tiles. And my contractor is very good and he hated it.The side panels are a pain to stick to the walls and I will always be worried about water seeping from top of the panels.Will I recommend it? No.

The media could not be loaded. I m so disappointed by this final product. No study. It looks so cheap material and not safe. It is a list of money and time and I don t know what to do. Contractor told me to not keep this item so I will have to redone my wall. More money to spend when this kit cost me over 800 dollars. I hope the seller can work with me to get something back. I don t have money and I felt that I was scammed.

Excellent product, I have read complaints about walls, the plastic walls are for a excellent, not designed to be a frame, you are expected to provide the framing for the walls. I installed this about 3 years ago and it still in excellent shape.

It would be really helpful if the manufacturer of these listed what frame sizes worked with what base size, and if they were all available for purchase individually. Why? Because we wanted the black base, but weren't able to buy the black base with the white walls, or the frame less glass with the black base and the white walls, the combination options were just poorly laid out, and it could be more clear on what size base works with what size frame. Like say this is a model B base, works with a model B frame, etc. It doesn't have to be complicated, but it should be something that makes sense to anyone reading it.

This looks like a great buy. Good looking and easy to install. However, once you strip off the protective plastic, this base is incredibly slippery. It is very dangerous. What were they thinking?! Now, I have to find a way to make it safe to take a shower.Note that the surface is extremely slippery even when dry! No one should sell such a product. It really deserves -1 stars for being unsafe. I can only imagine what it's like when wet. It may be impossible to stand on at all.

Package arrived in a timely manner. One of the glass shelves was broken in the box, but Dreamline expedited another in just a few days, no questions asked.I recommend using a really good adhesive for the wall installations, I prefer Gorilla extreme construction adhesive.There are plenty of spare parts included, and the directions are very straight forward. Contractors should have no problem installing this, DIYers as well. Just read through the directions a few times, and follow each step.

I replaced a shower in a Double Wide mobil home. It took two days, but worked well when finished. The instructions were good. The suggested faucet set up was not needed.
