The packages I received were in perfect condition. I put a large plastic chest in a full size wheelbarrow and removed the plastic from the 2 cubes I purchased and wet them with a hose. Within ten minutes the contents were broken up and completely hydrated. There was little fine coco "peat" and mostly larger 1" chunks and some long fiber but not too much fiber. The water that was drained off after a two day soak was reasonably clear supporting the promise of prior triple wash,. I did not test the rinse water for conductivity to determine lack of salts but I feel comfotable that the chunks are reasonably salt free. I am using the chunks for orchids and aroids so I am happy with the coarser material but for reptiles and amphibians the chunk size might not be ideal.

Great coconut husk chips at an excellent price. I will buy again. They are filling up a 58-quart container but are not fully expanded.

Really nice quality husk chips. Ordered another brand a while back and it had way too much fiber. You can wet this block down or just get a flathead screwdriver and chip it off. Good value for the money, very happy. This will be my go to husk chips.

Very convenient for storage. The block produces 72 quarts after wetting it. Appear to be good quality as there is no other debris mixed in. Shipping take 1 week for a prime member; what happens to 2-a day shipping ? Will buy again.
