This item states for adults which I would add it is for adults that are under 5' tall. If you are taller than 5' it will be way too small

This cape had only half the width of material and that material was low quality.

I was unfortunately disappointed with the tiggell King Robe Costume. The photo seemed to suggest that it would be adult sized, a long cape/robe. I am just under 5’3”, and it hits me just above the knee when fastened around the neck.That may be partly on me—I usually read measurements very carefully, but this time, I just looked at the pictures. Lesson learned! Going back and re-reading the listing, I do see that the cape is listed as being just over 4’ long. However, the photos show the cape coming down well past a woman’s knee-length dress, though the photo is cropped and does not show the bottom hem.Fortunately I have a kid, we have tons of costumes, and I’m sure I’ll come up with something to do with this. But for a king or queen costume—nope. The robe/cape is too short for most adults. The fabric is not really wide enough to wrap around a grown up adult.Even if the cape were longer, I don’t think I could give it a full recommendation. The purple velvet is a nice color, but is very thin—you can see right through it when you hold it up. Though the listing mentions “premium fabrics” and “elegance”, this is fairly flimsy.This might be fine for one of the kings in a holiday pageant, or for grade school kids for a class dress up project. But the flimsy fabric and sizing issues caused me to only award three stars for this one. It is usable, if you are a small adult like me, but most adults will find it much too short and skimpy in size. I gave it three stars, because it is wearable. But that’s about all I can say to recommend it.

Definitely a "costume" type item and doesn't feel rich or quality like. It does the job though. Since it's a cape it can tie around anyone's neck, but I think it looks like it fits on an 8 year old.
