Philco Executive Shelf System - All-in-One Bluetooth Home Stereo System with CD Player with 50 watts of Sound and MP3 / USB Playback

I love this item, it sounds great. it's compact enough and the sound quality is nice, the CD player and speakers work good clear and crisp; not static. The only issue is that the volume does not go beyond 01 and it's a little loud for background sleep music but, it will work for now. It's a nice stereo system.

The stereo is pretty good for its size. The problem is its controls are not intuitive in as much as you cannot just plug it in and go.1) There is no Power on off button on the stereo itself, it is a standby button. OK, does this mean the stereo is turned on all the time, wasting electricity or just a trickle for the remote and the clock?2) There is no CD Play button on the stereo, nor is there an obvious CD play button on the remote. You need to read the manual, not intuitive.3) I have a lot of Music on a USB Sandisk. There is no Play Random feature I have been able to find. They have a Folder feature, meaning if you have music in Folders on your USB Sandisk you can select the next folder, it starts and plays from the first song to the last in the folder then stops. It does not automatically go to the next folder, again no Random feature.4) There is a Program feature but a bit complicated and limited in functionality. A six-year-old may be able to figure it out but I do not have one handy, again not intuitive.For a low-cost system, it is fine but do not expect too much from it.

It sounds great, good volume and clear sound. Presets are easy to set and access, seek and scan works good on the tuner. Has an input for USB flash drive for playing mp3 files. Picks up lots of channels in my area. CD works well. I honestly have no reservations to mention about this unit-- it's fine for my needs.

The unit has discrete volume levels and the lowest - 01 - is not low enough for my ears. I wanted to be able to reduce volume lower. The unit is easy to use and the sound is adequate. It sound good when loud(ish). It fits my 100 sq. ft. man cave.

CD's skipped before ever getting through to the end. Thought it might clear up but it never did. Like many products today "had an Old-Time Good Brand Name but just "Junk" made overseas with a Known Brand Name ....... Don't WASTE YOUR MONEY.Usually I only bother to write "Very Good Reviews" but this is the SECOND LATELY "written to describe UTTER JUNK" - Beginning to think I should only go back to IN-Store Shopping "where One can TRY THE PRODUCT" because BRANDS have been auctioned off with NO CARE FOR U.S. CONSUMERS !
