It's made from a lightweight plastic sheet material, and it has a 2-way switch so you can choose on or timer function or just off of course. Not tried the timer myself. Sticks to the inside of your window with a suction cup; you have to insert 2 AA batteries (not supplied) into the battery box which hangs out below the Santa; this is obviously going to add weight, so best if you can support the battery box to save putting too much load on the suction cup (we used a Christmas Plant Pot type of thing for this). Overall, pretty good but don't expect it to be very bright lights - quite dull to be honest, but overall a nice cheery Santa feature.

This is a pretty enough decoration but there's no point on putting it on a window expecting it to be seen from outside because the decorative covering is so thick and has dark/heavy colours that the small lights barely light it up to be seen. This would be better on an internal mirror or a conservatory window for viewing when in the conservatory.The instructions are poor and such as they are, are written on the outside of the box and mostly consist of warnings. There are no instructions on how to open the battery container, online or on the box.BEWARE because you need a miniscule cross head screw driver to actually open the battery container to insert the batteries.Also BEWARE because once the batteries are in the battery container the suction cup is not capable of holding the battery container on the window because the weight of the batteries means it's forever falling off the window and ends up just hanging there.This item DOES NOT have a timer function despite being advertised as such online.Pretty enough at close quarters so long as you have a crosshead screw driver to open the battery container and don't mind this just hanging down most of the time.

Suction was good and never had an issue with it staying up for several weeks.Only downside is would of be better with a few more lights to make it stand out and give it a bit more definition.

Item was defective, proposed offer of refund only available if I would cancel my review detailing problems. Would not use this supplier again.

Would have been brighter on mains rather than battery. Looked great on the window, inside and out

The wire attached to battery holder is so short you have to tuck it inside the figure. The weight would probably have pulled it off the window. Also there was nothing to attach it to window and no mention of any being supplied on the box but fortunately I had some spares.

Not as bright as expected but still okay.
