Cobalt Drill Bit Set, 29Pcs M35 HSS Twist Jobber Length for Hardened Metal, Stainless Steel, Cast Iron, Wood and Plastics, 1/16" - 1/2"

Nothing last forever so as drill bits, my last set of bits finally wear out. I really like this set, the box is metal so it last longer unlike the plastic. There are so many size, the head as special cut so makes cutting very easy. All and all, well make material and good metal, I expect this set to last longer than my previous one.

I used these bits to drill through a 1/4” steel plate. Last time I did this task I used some drill bits I had purchased at Lowes. I broke 2 bits and stripped the 3rd one. I used these bits and it drilled a hole through the plate as if I was drilling through a small piece of soft wood. These bits are great, I couldn’t believe how easy it was to put 4 holes in this piece of steel. I highly recommend these drill bits.

Other day my husband was working on fixing leaking washer and he had drill some metal bars. He was complains that existing drill is no good so I got his this set he like it. He was surprise I picked a good one. I picked this set is because it has very good top level reviews and price seem reasonable. You see women know tools too...

* Overall Impression:-Note: There are several variations in the listing in what items and how many are included in each set.-I'm reviewing the M35-13PC (13 piece) set.-It's a good value for a very nice set of 13 (some sets have more, some less items) that are good quality with a nice variety of sizes and the sizes are clearly marked. They come in a hard metal carrying and storage case.-However, the window on the case is wide open and has no plastic or other cover on it. It's open and would have been better had it been covered and enclosed with plastic vs open window.* Pros-what I liked and what worked well:-Good value for the quality, sizes, styles and quantity.-Come in a hard metal storage case and holder that opens and closes easily and securely.-The case has a slot for each one and is marked for the size of each one.-Each one also has the size marked on it as well.-Good variety of sizes included. (See the pictures and listing details for the sizes.)-13 included (some variations have more, some have less)-M35 Cobalt (5%), hardened HSS.-Titanium coated.-Heat resistant.-Corrosion resistant.-135 degree split point style, self centering.-Spiral grooves.-Rated for use with: lumber, stainless steel, steel, plastic, aluminum, sheet metal, PVC, carbon fiber.* Cons-what I didn’t like and what didn’t work well:-The case window is wide open vs enclosed or covered with plastic. It would have been a lot more secure and better had they enclosed the window opening with plastic vs left wide open.* Tips & Thoughts:-Note, there are several variations in the listing. Some have different styles, sizes and quantities. You'll need to look at each one to see what is and isn't included. The pictures show the sizes very well.

Bit broke before it went through 1/16” steel, I know how to use drill bits, slow speed with oil, still broke. 2 others got so dull after 10 seconds that they were rendered useless. Do yourself a favor and get better bits

The drill bits are really beautiful and they are perfect for any hole that is needed in wood plastic metal. Regardless of the material I these bits will perforate.

I've snapped two of these in circumstances I would have expected them to handle, judging by other cobalt drills I've used in stainless. They're sharp, and cut well, but are not tough.
