Works great
After difficulty finding proper unit for 2001 mercury classic, I decided to order this one and give it a try. After testing, everything fit except top of rod mounting hole that was too small. I drilled it out on drill press to proper diameter and it worked perfectly.

What does it take to get what you ordered, without issues?
Looks great until your halfway through the installation to find that the upper cylinder pin bore is too small. How can this happen with a part number match?Easy, made in China!Are you going to reimburse me for time and materials to fix this, I highly doubt it.It works fine after the extra work, for the unit with NO manual or warranty paperwork.Thanks Amazon, for yet another lack of proper info from your merchants.
