Book was so soothing and calm . Story just relaxing to read . One must have to read

A soft, comforting sequel that feels like returning to a familiar little bookstore and old friends. The book carries the same warmth, quietness, and healing atmosphere as the first one, with gentle reflections on books, relationships, grief, and moving forward in life. Nothing dramatic really happens, yet that’s exactly the charm of it. Cozy, emotional, and perfect for slow reading days.

There is no reason why anyone would not rate this book 5/5. I really loved the first book, so reading the sequel became a must for me. Takako's life has truly evolved from the first story to now, she has been put on such a lovely journey surrounded by wonderful people. This sequel dives into her life after starting a new job, getting a boyfriend, and making her mandatory days off visits to the Morisaki Bookshop to help out her uncle and aunt. The ending left me in lil tears too. Do not hesitate to add this book to your bookshelf!🌸🌷

More Days at the Morisaki Bookshop is a quiet, comforting read that feels like sitting in a small bookstore on a rainy day. The story gently explores healing, relationships, and the love for books without being heavy or dramatic. The characters feel real, and the atmosphere is calm and soothing. It’s not a fast-paced novel, but that’s its beauty, it allows you to slow down and reflect. A perfect book for readers who enjoy soft emotions, simple moments, and the quiet magic of everyday life.

Best book . Calm and peaceful

“More Days at the Morisaki Bookshop” is Satoshi Yagisawa’s sequel to his first book, “Days at the Morisaki Bookshop,” and is a better novel than the first one. The tale follows the fortunes of Takako, her uncle Satoru, and her aunt, Momoko. In this installment, she finds her true love, and we see the beginning of a deeper relationship between her friends, Tomo and Takano. There is loss as well when Momoko dies, and Satoru struggles to come to terms with her death. Like the previous book, this offering explores ordinary events in the lives of everyday people. You won’t find tales of grand warriors, battles, or the struggles between good and evil. These books explore the lives and concerns of ordinary people, delving into their relationships as they evolve. This book is a story about life itself, told in the most straightforward manner possible. While the author set the book in Japan, his home country, you can imagine this story happening in any country or city. In my opinion, the book’s charm lies in the universality of the underlying emotions the characters experience in the story. Read the book: reading is a pleasure, and the author does not pretend to preach.

Excellent book. Good condition. Appropriate packaging.

En trevlig läsning

Wonderful book and probably a lovely sequel but huge printing mistake!! 30 pages missing from the book and some 30 pages printed twice! So irritating for the reader. Irresponsibility of Bonnier books of UK I guess. So do not buy.

I read the first book, Days at the Morasaki Bookshop, with a great deal of pleasure. The sequel is just as good. The style of writing and translation is quite simple at first glance. However, as one delves deeper into the book, there is a thought provoking side to it. I found myself enjoying the prose for the sake of it at the start, but began to find myself pausing more to think about what I'd read. It gives the appearance that it is a basic story, but it constantly surprises. The main character is Takako, a young woman who appears to have a simple personality, but is actually rather complex. The bookshop, founded by her great grandfather, and currently owned and run by her uncle Satoru, is at the centre of all that is good in Takako's life. There is a lot in this book that I found resonated with my life. I could empathise with Takako in how she dealt with the many issues in her life. The last chapter had me crying because of the memories that it stirred in me. I'd certainly recommend this book, though if you have not read the first, then I would advise you to do so. It would be possible to read this book as a standalone, but your enjoyment would be increased by the background knowledge provided by the first, which is also a book that I recommended.

Great

This book makes me so much emotional but it also makes me think of people I love. Although it was bit heavier than the first morisaki bookshop, I still enjoyed. Don’t read it in public lol
