Absolute beast!

I am in love with this thing! It has turned my Legion Go into a 1600p powerhouse. RDR2 with high settings at 1600 gets 60-70 fps while using it in handheld! It gets over 80 fps while hooked up to a monitor. This is also a dock which is great since the Go doesn't have any usb ports besides the two USB C. I will say that setup was a pain in the butt, it did not work out of the box like some people say. I followed a guide from Reddit and I had to do some more tinkering afterwards. I'll say that you want to make sure under device manager that you see the 780m and the 7600 drivers under display. If the drivers are done incorrectly then you might have problems, just make sure the 780m and 7600 are both listed. Once this is done you should see an icon in your system tray for the Onexgpu called AMD Connect. I wish I could link the guide and also give the additional step I needed to do but I feel like most tech competent people will figure it out. Either way, playing games at 1600p on a handheld at over 60fps is phenomenal!

works well, then it doesnt...

Ok technical minded purchaser... I see you reading this. the ONEXGPU is a solidly built little product, it definitely was a night and day improvement over the 780m in my mini... then the USB 4 controller would conk out and the thing would crash. Oculink? yeah good luck on that, if the device you have doesnt support it then you have to gamble on which adapter / cable combo actually works or is detectable by your machine. I tested Linux and windows. windows would boot and use it fine till the usb4 controller dropped out. if i stayed at a desktop i was fine, attempting to game with it would nuke my usb 4 controller in all of a few minutes. and this was with a display hooked to it and running over its own hdmi. i wasnt sharing video back across or bottle-necking it. i didnt have the storage hooked up nothing. Linux however would not boot with it connected under any conditions. if I booted up then plugged it in, it would perform the same as it did in windows until my controller dropped it. this was a back and forth over 3 days, trying to get it happy even for a little while. theres not great driver support in linux and in windows it is unreliable at best. and not coming with an oculink adapter means playing an expensive game of cat and mouse if you cant support it.... as cool of an idea as it is, avoid this one like the plague.

Needs a computer savvy person

The GPU is great once is configured and set up. It was not plug and play, had to watch several videos to get drives to work with the GPU. The whole thing is heavy and has a huge power block. Is not travel friendly. Sometimes it works beautiful and sometimes is just decides to lose the configuration. Thank God not during the game. Overall is useful to upscale graphics from a handheld PC or laptop to a bigger monitor and keep the quality.

This graphics card is still not detected even connected with TB4 interface

This graphics card is still not detected even connected to your PC with a TB4 interface. I bought this card because my Lenovo X1 didn't have a discreet graphics card, and the Einstar 3D scanner software won't load on a PC without one. Fortunately the X1 has two TB4 ports, and supposedly this external card can be connected to your PC vis either the TB4 interface or the PCI link. The instructions with this card are terrible. The link in them provided to you to load the AMD graphics card software doesn't exist anymore. Fortunately AMD provides a self detection link that allows it to detect and install the driver software on your PC, which I did successfully as you can see in the picture below. Unfortunately the card still cannot be detected even when the scanner is plugged directly into this external card dock as you can see from the picture below. I had to return it. This unit's USB ports and RJ45 port seemed to work fine.

Excellent

I am in the military and move around a lot, I really wanted a mobile gaming area. This compiled with the Lenovo Go, a portable monitor, and travel keyboard + mouse is an excellent combo! I would recommend for any handheld enthusiasts.

Boosts performance

Used it with my Ally X and it definitely improved framerate while increasing graphical capabilities

Useless

So inconvenient and useless. The support and documentation is unhelpful. They claim to support Apple computers but later say it’s if you use Boot Camp, but this causes my Boot Camp computer to crash constantly. And on my Windows PC it’s a nightmare to get it to work because of driver issues. What a waste.
