S&Z TOPHAND® 36in x 84in MDF Barn Door with 6.6FT Sliding Door Hardware Kit, 24-60in Solid Barn Door Slab Covered with Water-Proof PVC Surface

This was the second one I had delivered (the first one was damaged in transit and had to be returned). It was easy to assemble although some steps in the instructions were outdated and some parts were unlabeled. For example the instructions said to cut a groove with a chainsaw in the bottom of the door that had no purpose, and the door slats were 3 different types but they didn't have part numbers on them also the door guide provided was not the one in the instructions. Other than that, I was able to assemble and install it in about 2 hours by myself and have been using it for over a month with no issues. My niece likes it so much that she wants me to get (and install) one for her.

This was my second barn door I purchased recently. Decided to save a little money and go with a slightly less costly door. That was my first mistake. You get what you pay for rings true here.1. Box arrived pretty mangled and there was some damage to some of the panels. Fortunately I was able to fix and hide the damage.2. NO instructions but for one piece of paper showing the parts and sort of how the door slab itself goes together. Nothing regarding the hardware or mounting instructions.3. The handle has no holes drilled for mounting the handle, I guess I’m just going to have to figure out where it goes and drill them myself.4. The angled slats are supposed to stick on with an adhesive strip but they don’t stay on. They all fell off after about 5 minutes. I will have to glue them on with something else.5. The fitment of the panels is not great. There are gaps and misalignment causing a slightly unfinished look.The problem with buying something like this that has issues is that you don’t find out the issues until you build it and then they want you to un assemble it, rebox it in a mangled box and take it to UPS… IMPOSSIBLE to do by yourself.Hopefully my handyman that’s coming to install it won’t have any issues.I would NOT buy this door again.

As usual with heavy boxed deliveries, it came damaged. We made it work though. Instructions are pretty bad, just cracked me up that it says to use a chainsaw on this product! lol! The stick-on angle pieces are really cheap and don’t stick very well. I’ll use some caulking to stick them on better and fill in the gaps they leave. Came with a wall mount door guide, but no where in directions does it say how to install or that one was even included in the parts description. Looks good and it works, just don’t expect an awesome product.

This door is beautiful and was easy to install!! It is a solid door.

But, I would recommend placing 6-8 Command Strips on the backs of the diagonal trim pieces on both sides. The adhesive they came with isn't very strong and they popped off a few times. Fortunately, not too damaged.The instructions could stand to be a bit clearer, but for my first ever barn door install, it went pretty well.Every piece of hardware felt sturdy and well built so it looks great, too.

The door arrived in pieces, but it was very easy to put together. The only hard part was hanging it on the wall. The drywall was not great so we had to actually add a piece of wood to the rail otherwise all is good.

The media could not be loaded. I was undecided after reading reviews, but I will tell you this went to together easily. Lax instructions that it does need little more instructions like I said the crosspieces there’s no screws or nails or anything. It’s just simply peeled the sticky tape off and press into place however I would recommend the manufacturer to maybe add two more strips of that sticky product to peel off other than that it slides beautifully it’s extremely quiet, the hardware is beautiful. I’m very pleased with my purchase. .

I wasn’t sure how good the quality of this door would be but it’s definitely solid.My only complaint is that there was a significant chunk taken out of one corner of the outside piece. See image. This product came with a ‘scratch repair agent’ however this damage is too significant to be resolved with that.Other than that, assembling the door was straightforward.
