If you're going to plant these, buy them right now!
It's nearly the end of the year here where I finally take every item I bought this year and write there review. However, this product is a special case. You see, seeds need time to grow and so you have to go by looks to begin with and then see if anything happens later. That begins me to what I have now and then update my review later on the experience.First, you have to understand "how" seeds work. For the most part, people just get lucky and toss seeds into the ground and hope that the sunshine and frequent watering will make nature work. While this is true for most seeds, it's different when it comes to these seeds. These plants require a little bit more work. OK, so what do I mean? These seeds require cold stratification. That means they need to be in a cold temperature to germinate properly. As there are no instructions with the care of these seeds, you need to pop them into the freezer for a minimum of 4-6 weeks to get results. Ideally, I just put them into the freezer for the next 12 weeks. Next, they require very loose and acidic soil to grow. That means using a combination of sulfur and peat moss to prepare the soil. Blueberries especially need very acidic soil with a pH of 3.5-4.5 to live in. You will literally kill them if the soil is too neutral. Also, be very careful of "what" type of soil acidifier you use. Some of them use sulfuric aluminum and these plants will draw up the aluminum and put it into the berries. DO NOT DO THAT! You'll kill yourself down the road. Last, you can't just take them out of the freezer and pop them into the ground in the spring. Grapes are a very slow growing fruit. It takes them on average 2-8 weeks before they even sprout. Please look up either how to grow these seeds on YouTube or on a gardening website. There is a lot of information on growing them properly that I can't just put into a review here on Amazon.I did deduct 1 star for the most obvious reason. There's no name anywhere on this site or on the seed packets on "which" type of variety of grapes, blueberries, strawberries or raspberries they are. The picture looks like concord grapes but are they really? Also, there isn't just 1 universal strawberry or blueberry out there. It would be helpful to know which type of fruit I am planting and if it's even viable for my growing zone. I live in zone 5A and it would be nice to know if these seeds can thrive here.Anyways, I will complete this review in the summer of 2025 when I know how well these seeds did. I'll give you all the details when I get there.
