Fits great! Its big and comfy! I may try an XL as the XXL is a "no pressure fit" so on a windy day I'll need the cord (which is fine). But so nice to have a comfortable cap. Quality and appearance are great.

After a summer of wearing this almost daily, I feel that I can write a review with some degree of authority.Pros:-Fits larger heads as advertised. Mine is ~23.5 inches, measured just a little above the ears. This was a key concern for me, as many other hats, even the ones advertised as 'large,' were still on the small side.-Brim is wide enough to keep the sun out of eyes unless it's sitting near the horizon. Also wide enough that in most daytime conditions, it'll also keep the sun off the back of your neck and prevent sunburn there.-Chinstrap comes with a spring-loaded clasp for easy adjustment. Not sure how rust-proof the spring is for anyone who's constantly in wet conditions, but I haven't had any issues with it yet.-Snap on/off buttons on both sides of the hat allow you to pin the edges up if you need unobstructed peripheral vision.-Thick cotton holds up even in light rains, keeping you (somewhat) comfortable. Tilt the hat slightly back to let the water run towards the rear and away from face.-Folds easily. If your pockets are big enough for a cell phone and a wallet in the same pocket, the hat will probably fit in there. Will still be bulky though, it is an oversized cotton hat after all.Cons:-The only ventilation is two rivet holes on each side of the hat, so it can heat up fast. For me, this started to become an issue when in direct sunlight and ~90+F. Your comfort point may vary based on factors like heat tolerance, humidity, how long you'll be outside at a time, etc. If that sounds like a deal-breaker, consider buying a hat made of lighter materials, wide mesh-covered ventilation strips, etc.Overall conclusion:After using this for a summer, I'm happy with the hat. But I really want to emphasize the heat issue. The thickness of the material works in favor of the hat in many other circumstances, but once you cross a certain heat threshold, it rapidly becomes a liability. They really could benefit from using better ventilation on this.

Does a great job keeping the sun off of my face

I decided on buying this for my trip to the tropical island of Puerto Rico. In short, I could pin rim to the sides so I wouldn't be so hot and it just added more kick ass to my kick ass style. Oh I looked good in it. Very comfortable and adjustable. Will be buying more options soon enough.

Great sun hat, well made, comfy. I ordered a 3xl, I always order a size up when it comes to hats, and the 3xl fits just right. Exactly what I wanted to keep the sun off my neck and head while I'm fishing.

usually I take a size 8 or bigger depending on the makes. this hat fits loose on that sized head but not too loose to be uncomfortable. great hat just pop it in the washing machine and you are good to go. wide Brin great fit

I like the size it is XXL for big melon heads

In the picture the hat looks flat brimmed but it's not, it's quite floppy which was ok for me as I wanted it for beach but may get in some people's eyes for hiking or birdwatching as it kind of flops in around eye area which is still great for beach or Xtra sunny day protection

Fits a bigger head yes, but floppy shape. Feels heavy too. But larger 3XXXL fit is important. Previous large hats were too tight. 3XXXL fits my head.
