I purchased this rug for my living room to go on our new luxury vinyl floor when they are installed in a few weeks. I opened the corner of the package and took a peek just to see if the rug was the "ivory" I was hoping for. It was not as I expected. So I went ahead and opened the carpet the whole way and, oh my, I was astounded at how perfectly the rug will enhance my decor and also at the excellent quality of the rug on BOTH sides. The backing is strong but soft enough that it won't scratch the floor, and the wool side is so silky soft and textured in such a classy look. When the floors are done, I will try to add photos.That said, for anyone wondering about my initial reaction to the color, I urge you to zoom on the more close-up pictures on the ad--not the larger full-size image of the rug. The "natural" color is a tan color, so the rug is not white-on-off white. The natural part is like the color of twine or jute; the ivory is more of a creamy white. It is a stunning combination, however...if you ask me.

It's a nice rag, i really like it. Its perfect for little reading area. The only negative thing is that when my cats scratch it the threads come out easily. I have another rug from this brand and that one seem to hold better, or maybe my cats just are not interested in that one as much. Well, this is the sacrifice you have to make when you have pets. Hoping it will last me a few years at least.

Was shipped in plastic and no box. Arrived with a winch l-shaped rip/slice. I’ve been trying to get a hold of customer service to get a partial refund instead of having to go through the pain of shipping back with no luck.As for the rug itself, it’s beautiful. It has some jute in the fiber so it’s not very comfortable to sit on, but feels fine underfoot. No major smell when we opened it, flattened out relatively quickly. Sheds fine fibers. Does attract cat hair, but I’m too nervous to use a brush vacuum so I’ve been using the chom chom roller.

We love the design and colors. We bought several rugs from Safevieh before and have been happy about their quality. However this one has a very rough surface. So our cats assumed that we bought them a giant scratch pad… We never had this kind of problem before… Also, unlike the previous Safevieh rugs this one has a bad (farm like) smell which did not fade away after a week. Very disappointed

Due to the effect of gray with cream, it gives a slightly greenish sensation, but it looks very good, the color is delicate and the drawing is better than I expected. It throws very little fluff, that is normal in a new carpet, it should not disappoint anyone. Regarding the smell, I have read many reviews before buying it. yes, it has a bit of a musty smell when you open it and if you stick your nose in the carpet. I think that's normal, because it comes wrapped in plastic and the heat does its thing. But let me tell you, I'm a smell freak and it doesn't bother me at all. it does not invade the house or the environment and over time I imagine that it will be impregnated with the beautiful perfumes of the home. quality is excellent.…. I think this is more than enough to decorate an environment and enjoy.

Beautiful rug but after 5 days I can't srill can't get the mildew smell out of it. Also so much fibers come up every each ti.e we vacuum it. Finally found the beautiful rug I've wanted but I caoʻn't live with odor...

Love the style, but hate that it sheds, and it looks terrible all over my dark hardwood floors.

Safavieh rugs are great quality, not thin like others. I own several. This particular rug is no different, great quality. The color is too vibrant for my purpose, since I was looking for more subtle color. For that reason I have to return it. I will buy another.
