KeylessOption Keyless Entry Remote Control Car Key Fob Starter Alarm for Caravan Town Country (Pack of 2)

They key fobs came with a note, the note had a website to visit and get instructions on how to program the keys. When I selected my vehicle year and model, I was told that there are not instructions and I must have a dealer or locksmith program them - I understand this is a limitation from the vehicle manufactures but it was disappointing nonetheless. The local VW dealership quoted me $150 to program the fobs and cut the keys. luckily I was able to get a hold of an independent vehicle locksmith who got them programmed and cut for $50!

It sometimes takes three times for the buttons to work instead of two. However given the price even the technician that program the key was very impressed that it worked. They quoted me at $90 per key (not including the programming). Considering it is just a backup I am very happy with the key this far.

Starts the car no problem. Locking and unlocking the door..only works when in close proximity. Ok as a spare ..not for primary

The dealership was able to program the keys, but warned us that they could loose the programing. Still using after 4 months, and have not had any issues with starting or using the control buttons. These are bulkier than the OEM fob that came with the vehicle, and the key release broke on one after moderate use within four months.

I could not be more excited about this purchase!! I was quoted $650 PER KEY at the car dealership. I had called 9 locksmiths and all either told me they could not program my car (VW Routan minivan) or quoted over $300.I received these and within 5 minutes had them both programmed!!The catch is that you have to have a programmed key already. I can see where it would be an issue if you don't have a key at all.I actually had two programmed keys but they were old, falling apart and 4 of my 6 buttons didn't work anymore. I could never lock my car with it, use the remote doors or the remote start. With my new keys, NOW I CAN!!!! The actual metal key insert, I had cut at a local hardware store for less than $5 for both. I have two fully functioning, programmed keys for $35!!

I got these keys because I thought I could get a cheaper option for my 2018 dodge caravan well let me tell you don’t do it run away and get yourself some legitimate keys from your dealer. These keys worked for me all the way up till I went on a vacation with the family. By the time we got to our destination the last thing they did was lock the car then after that it stopped working. I opened the door with the inside key but when you do that the car alarms goes off and then you put the key in the ignition and turn it and nothing happens but just a blaring alarm that you can not stop. It was a pretty stressful first day on vacation I had no idea what was wrong with the car after about 5 tries with alarms and a complaint from the hotel I was staying at I got the badkey code to show up not sure what to do I tried to find a dealer that couldn’t help me because it was Easter weekend and they didn’t have any keys thankfully I found a lock smith and he was able to give me 2 new keys for $500 dollars and they were original dodge caravan keys he also told me to never buy 3rd party or any keys made in china So don’t be like me and cheap out get your keys from a actual dealer so you don’t go through this headache like me.

Great keys for the price. They are are second set of keys for our van and they have been the best quality. We were a little hesitant at first due to them having to be programmed but it was so easy to do with the instructions they provided. The only issue we have had with them is that the release mechanism to get the spare (door lock) key is slightly harder to do one handed than the original, but is still can easily be done with two handsPros-easy clear and fast instructions-great quality especially for the price-easy to programCon- the release mechanism for the key is slight difficult to unclip one handed, unlike the originalI would highly recommend these vs. the ones sold by the dealerships that are upwards of $250

Obviously aftermarket replicas, the only down side is that they fit rather awkwardly in the keyhole. When I had them programmed for my Chrysler Town and Country (2008) the only vehicle the locksmith could find that would make it work was a 2014 Dodge Caravan. That being said, they DO work, for which I am grateful. And, a LOT cheaper than factory originals.

Key fobs worked perfectly for my 2010 Town and Country. Look and feel of the materials isn't quite as good as that from Chrysler, but, they're way more economical.
