Valerian is a perennial , native to Europe, with short
rhizomes, aromatic feathery leaves and pink or white flower
clusters. It is considered an invasive weed in many places. The
ancient Greeks and Chinese considered it a medicinal and
used it for insomnia, as an aphrodisiac and in love potions. It
has a rather love it or hate it aroma and it should not be used
with alcohol or ceutical sedatives or when undertaking
