I gave this at a Grandchild's Birthday to the other children. It was a blast seeing what they came up with. And then getting them to drink out of their creations -- the little contortionists!

I gave this as a gift to my 7-year-old nephew who loves Legos and Magnatiles and he had fun building a contraption that allowed him to drink out of two different glasses at ONCE. He put juice in one and plain seltzer in the other and laughed uproariously. I imagine that it might be a pain to clean, but since his parents will clean it, that didn't detract from my rating. He declared it one of his favorite gifts of all time! (This, coming from a kid who loves his DS and iPad video games.)I think it might be especially good for getting kids to drink healthy things that they don't want to drink (milk, water), or for two kids to play with together (assuming that you're all comfortable with whatever germ-sharing situation might result).

We gave this straw to our son for Christmas when he was 4, almost a year ago. He loves putting the pieces together and making crazy straws. They are pretty easy to clean--I just put the pieces in a containers with soap and water and let them soak a bit, and then I rinse them in the container and allow to air dry. After reading another reviewer complain that his mildewed, I occasionally add a few drops of bleach to the soapy water to prevent that. My son plays with these straws once or twice a week, and they are still in like new condition. My son loves to design and build things, so he has really enjoyed this toy.

Mediocre

You get quite a few items for your money which is awesome and the straws really do work. The only part that isnt fun is cleaning them as there are quite a few parts when you make a larger contraption.Good fun for a while.

Cool item, after a single assembly we lost parts and never used again. Its a cheap item, but fun. If you give as a gift or just like expensive straws you will like it.

They fit together nice and tight. My kid is already having an awesome time making straw creations.

Not that good, thought they would be much more fun for my grandson but he wasn’t impressed.
