Easy to replace!

Item fit and worked properly - good transaction

I purchased this part for my_ Whirpool Cabrio washer_ model # WTW8800YW1. Their list of model no's ends at WTW8800YW0. My mod # would have been right at etc. on the list. The parts I received looked exactly the same, until I tried to put the gear on the spindle and found it was too tight to push on. So I went to parts store and bought the part again using my mod #. ( for twice the cost ). When I got home and compared this newest gear part with the one from Amazon I couldn't see any difference in size or look so and I thought oh no I just wasted my money on the exact same part. But when I attempted to install the newest gear it slid on with no problem, so the difference in size was so slight but it made all the difference in ease of installation. So I guess lesson learned make sure your actual mod no is listed. I gave 5 stars because the parts looked well made and the housing that came with it did fit just not the gear so I can't fault the company . I did read a couple reviews where they said they had difficulty getting gear on and just forced it on, had I did that it would have broke for sure. Considering how easy the newer gear slid on I'm glad I didn't. The return and refund of the product was easy other than the pain of having to take it to a return center. I just hope if Blue Star is having an issue with particular part they get it resolved so they don't waste anyone else's time. I just wish I had taken some pics for this review sorry .The price was right unfortunately the product was not.

Fit my Maytag machine perfectly and arrived on time for what was stated at checkout.

My bearings went bad in my bravos xl and I purchased a bearing kit. This product was in the often bought together option on Amazon. I decided since I am replacing all the other parts might as well put this in too. It provided two sizes and my washer used the larger size. It was very easy to replace this part. They do not provide the screws so you need to keep the old ones. Once all parts were installed my washer was back to running quietly and leak free again. The product seems to be a good value for the price.

Let me haul away this perfectly good appliance and upsell you a new one. But thanks to YouTube (and a little stubbornness), we did our own detective work. No shady estimates. No appliance graveyard. Just a little troubleshooting, checking for clogs, and replacing the hub. And guess what? Eureka — it lives! Not the pump, not some obscure $500 motherboard — just a basic fix and a little patience. The lesson? Don’t trust every “professional” who says it can’t be fixed. Sometimes all it takes is a flashlight, a screwdriver, and a refusal to give up on Dad’s washer.

Only positives are 1) arrives next day, 2) perfect fit for aftermarket part. My washer is approximately 10 years old. The original OEM basket drive hub lasted for 9 1/2 years. About 5 months ago I replaced the drive hub with this exact aftermarket part for the first time. 4 1/2 months later, I'm replacing it again. The plastic is so soft, the inner teeth strip down to nothing in little time. I repurchased this part 2 weeks ago, yes the same cheap aftermarket product. I only did so because this part would arrive next day, instead of waiting 4 days for the OEM part. If you can afford to go a few days without a washer.... just order the OEM part for only $12 more. Since I know this aftermarket part will not last, I immediately ordered the OEM.

They came on expected time and it's right fit for my washer. Now I can use it again.

Thanks to youtube and a little bit of being handy, I was able to repair the spin cycle problem. Which seems to be quite common. Lasting 7 years from new isn't too bad. I crossed my fingers after the install, but seems like I did it right. Washer works great again. This helped us enormously, saving a repair bill in these tough times! I appreciate that the part was available on Amazon, and was less than $20.00
