If you need a rear door regulator for your e39 (5 series 1996-2003) this is the one, product feels high quality and the motor seems strong. I don't have notes on longevity yet, but it's certainly better than having a saggy or broken window.If you decide to buy an alternative MAKE SURE it has the motor disconnected from the rail. Otherwise it will not work.

I have a 2000 E39 m5 and it does the job. Easy to install with no mods. Only Complaint I have is, it's slower then OEM. For the price and over night shipping I'll be just fine taking 5 more seconds to roll up the window. I hardly roll down the passager rear window.

As an E39 owner I have gone through many window regulators over the years and this is hands down the worst I have ever had the misfortune of installing. The motor was built incorrectly and would go up when I pressed down, and I spent over an hour taking the motor apart to fix the issue and allow it to travel in the right direction. After I fixed that and installed it in the car it is HORRIBLY loud whenever rolling up or down.Look elsewhere for your window regulator, this thing sucks.

my 1998 BMW's rear window control just stopped working one day. I bought this product and had it installed. it works very well. this purchase saved me a lot of money compared to having it replaced by a dealer or a mechanic.

Good window regulator but definitely a complicated process to replace. I’ve done a lot of window repairs and this one requires taking apart the window frame and seals....look at YouTube before you do this job!

I just installed it today and works really good for the money.....

Good replacement, the cable length to the motor is a little short but i was able to still bolt it in the right spot
