Great product and did the trick
We have a 100 yr old house and have had problems with our basement laundry room floor drain in our laundry room over the many years we've had the house. The laundry room floor drain connects directly to the main sewer line. Over the years, we've had to run a snake through the line on average of 2X per year when it starts to run slow. This last time it backed up, we used a 25ft power auger on it and it barely cleaned the line. Decided to purchase this one with the 75ft cable after watching some YouTube reviews. Easy assembly but very heavy unit. Ran all 75ft through the line a couple of time and it cleared the line lickety split. Drain now runs and works like new. Cost was well worth it and is saved me from having to hire a plumber. Paid for itself. I'm sure that I'll have to use it again somewhere down the road. So from here on out, it's just a simple matter of running it through the line. Of note, I did check out a similar unit at harbor Freight that was over $100.00 more than this one. This unit looks to be a little bit heavier built than the one at Harbor Freight and $100.00 less. If you have an old house like we do and periodically need to clear a line, I highly reccommend you purchase this.

Worked great
Would be 5 stars but a something started squeaking the 2nd time I ran it through the pipe to make sure I had cleared the roots completely.I think the problem people are having with the cable is running the motor in reverse, the motor doesn't need ran in reverse unless the obstruction is binding up the machine and the cable gets stuck. When running it to clear a pipe, keep the motor in forward and use the feed lever to feed it into the pipe.As the cable gets deeper into the pipe it will feed slower, switch back and forth from neutral and forward on the feed control. When it's time to pull the cable back into the machine, simply use the feed control in reverse with the motor still in forward... it feeds back in and spools correctly.

100 foot x 3/4 . Pretty solid but Heavy
City flushes sewer lines in my area often and plugs the end of my lateral. To date have spent $1000's on plumbers. Clogs are at 70 feet out. The reviews stated cable winds up in pipe, so i new i needed the 3/4 rigid cable. $600 seems a little high to me for a machine as poorly / cheaply designed as this but the alternative is twice the price. Not making a living with it so it should do for the average guy. Its clumsy and all of their stated appx. 200Lbs. The handle was too short for the leverage you need just to move it around. I suggest you get some square stock and add about 2 feet to the handle.

Good qualities
I bough this because my sink was clogged. I had tried mutiple snakes did not work. This electric works well. It slow but it get to 75" . My clogged is about 25 feet. It dies tangled when rolling back in. The we took it to the back yard, allowing the entire snake came out. Slowly rolled it back in. All set. I believe that is worth $. I had a rooted last year costs $500

Good Value for the price
Ok.This machine is not for everyone. Other machines like it cost twice as much. The instructions are lacking, as well as accurate explanation of the operation of the machine, so if you buy it as I did you are going to get that information elsewhere. Is the machine precision made? No.Does it wobble, yes.Does that affect the function of what the machine needs to do?No. Do your home work, Familiarize yourself with safe operation, learn how the controls work in an open space, feed the cable in and out.Mark the machine cable in and out control handle yourself ( no markings in casting).Never switch the motor into reverse from forward.Reverse motor is only meant to be used with the foot switch for when you bind up the cable( and eventually it will happen).Cable in and out is always done with the motor in forward by using the lever to switch between forward and reverse ( a gear in the lever assembly changes the cable feed direction from forward to reverse with the handle with the motor always in forward motion.) One really important thing you will find nowhere but here is this-The drum with the cable revolves at about 400 rpm ( the motor 1800 ) so that means the cable travels out 7 feet per minute you hold down that foot switch. If you have a blockage at 21 feet it will take 3 minutes for it to reach it before actually feeling any resistance, once you do, you may have to shift into neutral for the cable to cut and relax, engage it in forward a bit more, and so on. I will post more as I use it. But for now, for what’s in the maket for the price, this was the best value- stay tuned. (You can always put the machine in neutral and manually pull the cable into your pipe, but you won’t have a clue how far you are into your pipe. With the 3 minute feed in I knew I was about 21 feet into my pipe.) 7-13-24 added 2 pictures - had to get rid of RIV NUTS,added 4 5/16” bolts so cable would stop binding between RIVNUT and drum.Added guide plate to keep cable down, and stop cable from creeping and binding underneath.

If you like frustration and looking like an idiot
This auger was able to clear the first two jobs BARELY. First job the head unscrewed somewhere into the sewer and thankfully never had any issues. Dealt with the drum tangling up and twisting in a knot for the last two jobs. Last job I had to tell customer to phone someone else and wasted 5 hours of my day on a 4” sewer that was plugged. Once while pulling the cable out I had found it twisted up INSIDE the sewer. This auger should say it is designed for 1-1/2”-2” pipe because my hand auger is 3/8” and REFUSES to do 3-4”.Wish I never bought this tool as I am now covered in effluent from wrestling around 20’ of cable that was bound inside the machine. The experience has left me no longer wanting to offer that service in my area and I will pass it on to someone with a proper rigid.

Well made
Unfortunately i haven't had to use it yet, but putting it together i was impressed at how well it was manufactured for the price, i have and issue with my floor drain about 1 to 2 times a year, and the rental units are never very well maintained and hard to get 100 ft with small cutter.
