It smells great and seems to repel the mice; however the scent only lasts about a week for our stubborn rodents.

I received this bottle around October of last year, which was towards the end of the "problem" season for rodents in my area. I hadn't caught many field mice or pack rats over the fall and winter, so I didn't want to waste this product or give an inaccurate evaluation of a non-significant problem. Well, the season has changed and for five consecutive days I have caught a mouse each night in the garage. I do not use solid poisons for pet (dog) concerns and non-target secondary poisoning for area wildlife.I mixed the 4oz. bottle with one gallon of water, as instructed, in my 2-gallon stainless steel sprayer I use for herbicides and insecticides (always cleaned after each use). I was pleased with the strong peppermint scent in the garage, but I could see this being problematic for highly scent sensitive individuals if the spray was used in living areas. In fact, the scent was so strong, the next door neighbors commented on the pleasant smell as I was spraying part of the undercarriage of my truck and the garage entry points.For the current list price of $29.99, for approximately 30 days effective use of one gallon of "repellant", I would not consider this a good value, unless it is really effective. It has been one evening since I sprayed and I did not catch any rodents overnight. I still have a dozen snap-traps in the garage and laundry room that I will continue to maintain year-round, but after catching literally hundreds of mice and pack rats over the last few years, it would be nice to see a significant reduction in numbers over the spring and summer. More to follow... Hopefully there will be a continued positive update in around a month.*** UPDATE: 17 Apr 2025, I hadn't caught any rodents for over two weeks, and I was starting to think this might be worth the cost. I liked the scent it left in our garage and laundry rooms, but I could tell it was getting weaker as time went on. I caught a mouse last night. At this point, I wouldn't recommend this product at it's current price. It appears to have only been effective a little over half the duration it claimed. Perhaps it might be effective in areas with less air movement, but it was only efficient for just over two weeks in my case.

Strong peppermint smell. Got this for our garage, which seasonally comes under attack from field mice. Hoping this may do the trick. Applied all around the perimeter. Have not seen nor trapped mice since. This could be due to many differing factors, but maybe the peppermint and cinnamon played a role? I also use to repel spiders and other bugs inside the house. Not sure if it's really the best, but it does seem to work. Easy to dilute as necessary or apply to a non-reactive surface in concentrated form.

I am putting this in here as a place-holder. It will be impossible to leave a proper review until spring, after I take the convertible out of storage. I used this to prevent more mouse damage to the car during winter storage. The real proof will be to see how it holds up through the winter.

I mixed the bottle with a gallon of water in a backpack sprayer and sprayed the railings of our wooden fence where the rats were having the time of their lives running back and forth on during the wee hours of the night. I had set up Ring cameras to capture the rat activity. The rats weren’t deterred at all. They continued running back and forth along the fence. The scent is very strong.
