Very sturdy and has been working well since I got it weeks ago. Heat level is about what I expected and is not an issue. Takes about 45 minutes to heat up enough to start the process. YES, I recommend this.

I love the colors of this lamp and like all of the official LAVA brand lamps (don't let those cheap knock offs fool you), the customer service team, color, shape, quality, and performance are great. I own several lamps depending on my mood or the room I want to enhance and this one is a great addition. It takes a bit for the wax to warm up the first time you use it, but then those globs really start moving. And if it gets too warm just make sure you are not running it for more than 12 hours at a time. We all need a rest- right?!

I had ordered this lamp for a Christmas Gift. On Christmas Day it was opened and immediately plugged in to find out that the bulb does not work. There was a detached wire inside preventing it from working. That day I emailed LAVA, but after a week I still had not heard back. I contacted Amazon for an exchange and the exchange arrived the next day. I opened the box that appeared to have been opened already and found that there was no light bulb in it. So two LAVA lamps in and I am just going to return them and give up with this lava lamp because it is just not working out and turning into to much work. Don't expect help from LAVA and don't expect Amazon to send you a product that is in good shape.

Love the matte base and loving how he looks next to my Aurora Borealis Lava Lamp! This is my first lamp with white wax, and I'm OBSESSED with the way the tricolor glass makes the wax look like it's changing color as it flows.I was a little nervous when the box arrived upside down, so I ended up calling the customer service #. The woman was super patient and told me not to worry, just get it set up and let it sit for 24 hours before turning it on. It was hard to wait but I am convinced it made a difference, because this lamp is BEAUTIFUL!

Beautiful Lamp, but Slow to Warm Up ⭐⭐⭐⭐This lava lamp is absolutely gorgeous! The colors are vibrant, and it adds such a stylish, retro touch to my space. I love the way it looks, and when the lava is flowing, it’s mesmerizing to watch.However, it does take quite a while to heat up. I live in Phoenix, and even on cooler days in the winter (when I don’t run my heater), it just doesn’t get warm enough for the lava to start moving. Even now in the spring, if the house has a little chill in the evening, it struggles to get going.If you live in a warmer climate or don’t mind waiting, it’s a fantastic lamp. But if your home tends to stay on the cooler side, just be aware that it might not reach the right temperature to work properly.

The media could not be loaded. My son bought me a lava lamp for Christmas. The first one didn’t work. He bought me this one in place of it, and it works beautifully.

Ordered two. One came super cloudy the other slightly cloudy. I sent the super cloudy one back. The wax is white but gets stuck at the top. I read this is from the lamp getting too hot so now I will need to order a dimmer. Not sure if the wax is a different formula because when I set another lava lamp globe on the same base they flow normally.

I had to do the cycling thing because this was cloudy right out of the box. The colours on the glass are nowhere near as pictured on the listing, duller and somehow just...not pretty.
