I got these because as a heavier ride (100kg) I tend to get flats more easily on road shoulders and bike paths. I use these on my commuter bike along with Gatorskins for puncture resistance. Gatorskins alone were pretty good at stopping most things and reducing flats. Adding slime tubes means that I've been able to go years instead of months between flats on my commute as smaller punctures can self heal. Worth the extra money for me.

A great strong tube for 29” tire

A year ago, I bought a set for my ebike because one of the tubes had punctured on a ride. They hold pressure very well compared with the cheap inner tubes me ebike came with. Only topped off the air a couple of outings this year, whereas the factory tubes were always low each outing. I just bought another set for my road emergency kit. Side note, similar review on the 16 inch, same circumstances, don't trust the inner tubes they use in the wheels of cheap bicycles and trailers.
