Perfect Kit
I had a 1 TB drive I wanted to mount internally in my Mac Mini and this had everything I needed for the job. Tools, hardware and interface cable. Everything was perfect and went in like a champ.

Added a second hard drive to Mac Mini 2011
This allowed me to add a solid state disk (SSD) to a Mac Mini Mid 2011 in the upper bay (this is the bay that is closer to the top of the computer, which is on the bottom when you have the Mac Mini upside down to work on it). The only minor issue is the hex end on the one wrench is a little small for the 3 studs, but I was able to get it to work. Everything else was great. The SATA connector worked great. If you have a Mac Mini 2011 and the performance is not good, changing to a SSD as the boot drive will greatly improve the performance. There are Youtube videos out there that show you how to clone your existing drive without purchasing additional software, and make the SSD the boot drive. Took me a few hours to do everything, but for about $90 total (500 Gig SSD and this kit), the Mac Mini is now like a new computer. The performance is super fast. Note: You should turn on TRIM on the SSD after you install it.

This little Mac mini runs my shop now that it’s windows, Linux and Mac!
Works perfectly, not too bad to install, nothing difficult just takes some time.

Awesome Upgrade on Mac Mini
Upgraded our mid 2011 Mac Mini. Too slow and so much lag. Purchased new SSD and more RAM separately. Needed this to connect additional SSD while keeping older HDD for storage. Easy to install - plenty of Youtube videos to watch. Best priced on line...

Primary drive cable for Late-2014 mini with 2.5” drive
As others have noted, there are different cables for minis of this vintage and this cable works for the primary drive cable if you have a 2.5” drive equipped mini. The original cable is delicate and cheap enough to replace when swapping drives. I had no issues with drive detection before or after installing this cable. However, you will want to source another set of torx bits as the ones in this kit may or may not be cut correctly to work. Mine were cut at enough of an angle to not be useful for their intended purpose. A functional replacement cable was worth the cost of the whole kit to me.

You’ll need a different Torx tool
The cable and most of the tools are great, the the Torx tools will not work for the security torx screws in the MacMini 7,1 (2014). The screws need the tool to have a hole in the middle of the torx pattern, and these tools don’t have that hole.

Worked like a charm
Great little kit for adding a second hard drive to a Mac Mini Late 2012. The Mac Mini already has the bracket in place. It's easy to do if you follow proper directions that you can find if you search for it (Amazon wouldn't let me post a link to a video.)Some take aways: The kit has two screws that do not have a head. I screwed it on the drive and then guided them into the grommet on the front side of the bracket. Also, the connector tap was a bit wide to allow both connects to sit firmly on the board. I had to trim a tiny bit off with a nail clipper so it would seat firmly on the board. This is the reason for knocking a star off.

Boot from an SSD for big speed boost
This was a very technical install IMHO. I had to watch a few different videos showing the process before I felt somewhat confident about what I needed to do. The included tools were low quality, but sufficed. I upgraded my wife's mid-2011 Mac Mini by installing an SSD as the boot/OS drive and kept the original platter hard drive as extra storage space. It made a HUGE difference in responsiveness. It's fully usable now. I even found a way to install Mojave on it and it is working well.
