C5G1216 Adjustable Cushioned 5th Wheel to Gooseneck Adapter 12" to 16"

Posting this for my husband. We bought a 5th wheel travel trailer in Florida. My husband put this on the new trailer himself. He tweaked it a bit by placing additional 3 bolts to ensure it was all tight & secure. We traveled from Florida to Texas. Never had to re tighten device. Watched YouTube video how to do it. Recommend!

WARNING: This is written after using it a few times. The first time was a nightmare. The adjustable hitch pipe that connects to the ball of the gooseneck will fall back down under load while driving. This prevented me from being able to take turns as the fifth wheel neck would want to hit the side wall of my truck bed when it was fully collapsed. I tried torquing the bolts to 3 different torque rating and even switched the bolts out for grade 8s while on the road. Ratings were 100, 150, and 200 ftlb. Eventually I had to add a spacer inside the pipe to prevent it from collapsing. I used 3 2.25" galvanized couplings stacked on top of each other inside the goosneck adjustable coupling pipe to prevent it from collapsing. Please use a solid pipe when you make your spacer. I used the couplers as that was all I could get at Tractor Supply, the only store my truck could get to without taking any sharp turns at the time. So before you take it for a trip please measure and cut a spacer to prevent the adjustable part of the hitch from collapsing under weight. Other than that it has preformed well ever since. If that tip is in the instructions then the company should ship intructions with the hitch... 3 stars because it works well after modification.

Exactly what I needed. I have a gooseneck ball in the bed of my truck, and I cannot attach to a fifth wheel. This worked very well. I will caution though that you must make sure the bolts are tightened down very tight.

Not a bad product decent price compared to most had to order safety chains but came a day early would have been simpler if it came with instructions but i figured it out pretty quick would recommend

This product is a Chinese knock-off of a USA made product. It is NOT tested to USA standards and that is why people have towing problems with it. Don't buy a product made in China. The more expensive units on Amazon are the USA made product. You get what you pay for.

L'adapteur a du être limé a l'intérieur a cause des bavures de moulage et les set screw sons lėgèrement trop long et ne contenais pas les chaînes de sécurité. Pas d'instruction sur le couple de serrage des boulons.. Sur le total très bien.
