I have been operated on the right side a couple of times however I feel pressure on the left side as well. Will this support both sides simultaneousl?

Yes. The belt provides the option of applying pressure on either one side or both sides. I highly recommend this belt. It is very effective, easy to use, and fits well under clothing.

how wide is this (not waist size) ? The one I have is 4.5 inches & is just too uncomfortable.

The vented fabric belt itself is contoured. From the front, as shown, going up past the removable pads and around to pelvic bone area, is 1.75 in. Then tapering back to 2.50 in., just past hip bones. There is a 2.00 in. wide elastic/flex belt that is sewn/fixed on 2.50 in. area on left, going around the back to right side, attaching with velcro on the 2.50 in. area on right. Hope this helps

how is this product cleaned?

I use a nylon laundry bag (typically used for delicate items) and wash it with my shirts. I then hang dry it (I do not use a dryer).

This truss was comfortable and helped to keep my hernia in place in normal activities. It has velcro attachments which are were a bit weak. The attachments were much stronger with added velcro strips.

Works very well for Inguinal Hernias. Has pads for either side, or you can use both at the same time if you have a double like me. It's as comfy as it can be, make sure the Velcro is lined up properly. It's a bit bulky and awkward but it's way better than going without. I've got a month until surgery and I'll wear this everyday.
