Klein Tools69146 Banana Plug Adapter to K Type Thermocouple, Works with Digital Clamp and Multi Meters

I needed to adapt a regular K-type thermocouple plug to fit my Fluke 87V multimeter, so I bought this, believing that Klein makes high-quality products, at least years ago they did. Their quality has degraded over the years, and this is no exception. The female connector was loose and intermittent. I pried it apart and tried to bend the contacts to be somewhat tight, but they had zero "springiness". Speaking of springs, if you want quality, spring for the Fluke. I did and I don't regret it, although the price is several times more than this piece of cheap garbage.

Must needed product if using any type K plugs with no type K ports. Perfect for my multimeter that needed to plug a type K thermocouple into. Most meters will come with one but if not, this product is the way to go. Material is pretty durable plastic and fits into my meter tight. Obviously can break like any product so take care of it and it will last!

It shattered after a week of use just like all the other ones. Even the fieldpiece one shattered on me and they want 80 bucks a pop. Can anyone make these with some quality material?

I’ve been within the HVAC industry for quite a few years now and I actually have a cobalt multimeter that reads temperature instead of your typical fieldpiece and I love it. This clamp is very very accurate and over the times I’ve used it. I’ve had no calibration issues unlike some of the others I’ve used where, they tend to bend or break or lose their sensitivity. This one has definitely been hopeful tool

I loved the fact that this attaches to the Klein meter clamp I already own. This clamp felt very secure on both the high and low pressure pipes. Out of the package I found a polarized adapter that was color coded to make sure it was easy to recognize which orientation it needs to be inserted into the meter itself. As a DIY'er I don't need a fancy setup that has multiple clamps etc. and I found this will do the job I need it to very well.

Can’t say much about an adapter. But it was rugged and durable and worked perfectly.I will be ordering more in the future if my need for those adapters increases.

Works perfect and is a far better option to be able yo just replace a type k thermocouple without having to buy a complete unit!

Works as described. Measures temp accurately. Used for 1 cooling season and held up.
