Purchased for my daughter who is away at college. Alarm is LOUD, which is exactly what I was looking for! You can recharge the battery (it will let you know when the battery is low) but lasts 6months per charge! She carries this on her keychain, not bulky and seems quite study. I have purchase other name brand personal alarms for her, this is far superior, the other did not last long and was dead, could not charge and the alarm was not loud enough. Excellent product for value and most importantly safety!

I love this so much!!!! I ordered three of them, one for myself, one for my daughter and one for my son's best friend. They work exactly as described... They are loud, bright, easy to operate and I love that they are rechargeable! They also have a low charge warning. I liked the colors it provided and how nice it felt on my hands. The texture was soft and buttery.It was very loud when I pulled the pin off. However I lost it and couldn't test how it would be for someone further away. It was hard for me to put it back into the handle because it was hurting my own ears as well. So it would be nice if the user has something to protect themselves from it.However, I've read that you can toss it towards attacker or a bit away from you because it's mainly to call for help. And although it's a bit harder for me to return it, it'll at least stop attacked from stopping the alarm as well. And the device hurting my ears does let me know that it should do the same for an attacker.I was also comparing it to another set I bought with a flash light and it's a shame this one didn't have it.This one is a bit bigger, however, and easier to pull if needed.The rings that come with it is really pretty and durable and can be used in different arrangements except for something thin and for the small ring specifically, I just have to pull the opening a bit more because the handle is a bit on the thicker side.

I bought several of these personal alarms. One for each of my granddaughters and one for myself. They are easy to maintain and easily accessible on your key ring or attached to belt loop. It gives me peace of mind in case an alarm is needed for safety. Also it has a loud piercing sound which draws attention quickly.
