Sun Umbrella Blocking UV Protection Compact Auto Folding Parasol

I did not know this was a thing until last year when I bought this. We went to Japan in the depths of August heat and sun, and I sunburn easily. Brought this with me as an easy packable tool to help block the sun, especially since we walked around a lot. Have to use various sun blocking tools and overlap sunscreen/ sun sleeves/ sun umbrella, but this was really helpful. Plus its double useful since its good for sun blocking or rain. I love this umbrella! The only downside is that it is hard to close, but I found that if I push it at both ends (the centerpiece at the top and the bottom of the handle, I am able to do it. It seems to be very wind resistant, and I got the one with flowers on it which is another thing that I really like about it.

I wanted to show how well this umbrella blocks the sun. I was outside in my backyard in 89 degree weather and the umbrella did a phenomenal job of blocking the sun. It isn’t incredibly large (just enough for one person) however it does feel like I am standing in the shade. This is going to be perfect for walking my dog, trips to the amusement park during the summer and even for added protection when I am walking from my car into the store. While it did not cover my entire upper body as well as it could have if the umbrella was bigger, I was able to move the umbrella into a position where it was directly blocking the sun and therefore providing adequate protection. As I have issues with the sun burning my skin (I am a woman of color but I either tan unevenly or certain parts of my body will burn), this is going to be an excellent protector throughout the entire summer. I purchased those solely as a sun umbrella as I have other umbrellas for the rain. It does feel very sturdy and the button was easy to push and collapsing the umbrella was relatively easy. I appreciate the snap closure versus struggling with a velcro tab. I also love the color and appreciate the black underside which does an excellent job of preventing sun exposure.

My favorite feature of this umbrella, and why I actually just purchased a 2nd one today, is the SNAP BUTTON CLOSURE on the strap. 💗 Most other umbrellas have a velcro strap instead. If you're like me and don't like getting whipped in the face by a wet strap, you close the strap on itself to keep from dangling. Most velcro closures will fail in high winds and you'll get whipped in the face by a wet strap again. This snap button closure is SECURE. Looping the strap closed, it STAYS CLOSED that way the entire time. Highly useful and severly underrated detail of an umbrella. I want all of my umbrella straps to have SNAP CLOSURES now... 💕 I love the UV blocking feature, and it’s the most lightweight UV umbrella I own. I also love the auto-close, auto-open button. That makes putting it away a breeze. It also fits nicely in a purse. Very pretty design for a UV umbrella. Most UV umbrellas are solid colors or predictable graphics that look like the galaxy or the middle of a dahlia. This umbrella has a design that an adult wouldn’t be embarrassed walking around with. Currently, it’s my favorite umbrella.

I love this umbrella. Super adorable. The description says 98cm which is 38.5 inches, my umbrella is only 36 inches. This is only for a single person.

Disappointed. Do not buy. I’ve used this only a few times and it’s already bending out of shape. Difficult to pull down umbrella to shut it completely. Fabric is unusually thick making it hard to clasp around fabric for storage. For how simple and easy to use a foldable umbrella should be, this is maybe just all “beauty”. Not functional.

I really like having a sun blocking umbrella. It helps keep me cool. It folds up easily, but I can’t fit it back in the matching cover. It does seem a little heavy, but I imagine that’s because the solar blocking stuff is thicker than just a regular umbrella.
