Is this the all aluminum pot

Hello Brenda - Yes, this one has the aluminum pot and it's never been open or used

Does this work on smooth top electric stoves?

Yes it works great. The handle stirs the corn and oil so you don't move the pot on the cooktop. It doesn't scratch the cooktop.
