Tasty, Energizing, and Perfect for On-the-Go
The CLIF BAR Chocolate Chip is my go-to snack for hiking, workouts, and busy days when I need a quick energy boost. Made with organic oats and plant-based protein, it keeps me full and fueled without feeling heavy. The chewy texture and rich chocolate chip flavor make it feel like a treat rather than just an energy bar. I also love that it’s non-GMO and made with quality ingredients, so I feel good about what I’m eating. While it’s a bit on the sweeter side, it’s perfect for when you need a satisfying, convenient, and nutritious snack. Highly recommended for anyone who’s active or always on the move!

Convenient, Tasty, and Saves Me From Skipping Lunch
I keep a Chocolate Chip CLIF BAR in my work bag at all times because, let’s be honest, some days lunch just doesn’t happen. These are filling enough to hold me over without making me feel like I just ate a candy bar.✔ Tastes Good – Some protein bars are a chore to eat—this one isn’t. The chocolate chip flavor is solid, and it’s not overly sweet.✔ Actually Satisfying – One bar is usually enough to keep me going until my next meal.✔ Buying in Bulk = Big Savings – Grabbing an 18-pack is way cheaper than picking them up one by one (or small packs) at the grocery store. Not much else to say—they do the job, taste good, and save me money. I’ll keep buying them.

Great fuel for outdoor activities
I tried a cliff bar first on a mountaineer guided trip to Mt Rainier. I choose to have the outfitters help with the snacks and food since I was flying and didn't want to bother about packing snacks being a novice. I really liked the taste of it and the amount of energy it could give you. Later on that year I got a pack and started using those on my long gravel rides. these worked perfectly. Also I ran ultra later on that year and this was definitely one of my favorite snacks. Since then I have used these on multiple hikes/long runs/century rides. However I learnt from one of my fellow runners that these are not so great for winter ultras since they become hard as rock. Some pointer while you decide your favorite snacks :-- Make sure you like the taste. I have felt after a long hike or a brutal climb you won't feel like eating anything which you don't like flavor wise. I like the white chocolate the best and this is the second best.- Test it before you use these on long activities. try it on smaller runs, so if it does not sit well with your stomach then you have an easy exit plan. Trying it on the day of the ultra would be a risky scenario.- Figure out your fuel plan. I feel on a long activity it is good to plan your snacks after every 60 mins or so. Plan it well before you bonk or start having cramps. Water should be had like every 40 mins or so depending on the temps.I will update more if I feel there is something more that I discover.**If you find my review useful then please click the 'Yes' in helpful. A great snack bar.
I always like chocolate chip. So having this as a flavor makes it my favorite Cliff bar. I mainly eat this in the morning to help start my day. It helps keep me energized enough until noon.

They seemed old...
I eat a Clif bar every day. These bars were flat and a bit sticky/mushy. They tasted fine. But I don't know what happened to them, perhaps the way they were stored. I'll go back to buying the mix pack from Costco (it's cheaper there too, btw). 4 stars because of the condition of the bars

Good value if you buy at the right price
I have found Clif bars to be one of the better bars in its category. I'm allergic to tree nuts, so most "protein bars" would land me in the hospital. This strikes a good balance between a sugary "granola bar" and a "protein bar." I've keep a few in my work bag as meal replacement bars just in case. The price is always the sticking point. I buy when they are on sale.If you buy from other sources, I have found that the "best by date" is worth paying attention to. The bars tend to dry out if they are old stock.
